Edit: Just did a 70, yes 70 min Barla Von run. Died wave 8. I had targets in wave 6 and couldn't target switch, missed one praetorian, used 5 missiles. Ruined my game. I then lost 3 medigels in wave 7 to scion grenade explosions. The volus can't withstand anything. Not sure if I'll be able to pull this one off. I'll try again. I was only using cyclonic III.

second attempt gave me devices on wave 10 with the second one being in the very middle of the map. Hate this game sometimes.

Next attempt was the winner. Wave 10 was horrendous. Finished the last target with only seconds left then kited praetorians around forever trying to whittle them away with my super soaker.

I will upload the vid eventually as it is 3 GB in size.

Wow. I'm impressed. This is pretty heroic.  Nice job. Yeah, super soaker is right, single barrel. I will attempt again today.

Strategy was to kill all the abominations white my missile drone wore other things down and my decoy puppetized the troopers and captains.  Waves without abominations were definitely the hardest.  Shock drone was incredibly helpful

Yes... this is why Wave 8 is the cappiest wave.

The fact that Abominations are worth 40pts for the budget, Scions are 75 and Praetorians are 120 is pretty absurd, especially when the latter two get possessed and don't go up in value despite having eleventy billion hitpoints.

welcome volus brother.  I too hate condor with a passion after this challenge, but I am happy I completed it.

Yeah.  I was inspired by the fact someone completed it today.  So inspired that I copied Rocket Drone.

There is no question.  Although I tried to be lame and get massive DPS w/ Incendiary Ammo.

Didn't see this before, but spam Shield Boost since you get immunity frames and damage reduction.

Nice job capn! I'll update the HoF now! I'm also going to copy Heroic's build, see how it goes. Yeah, I found the volus did have decent survivability by spamming shield boost, but for whatever reason, the scion's grenades got me good.

I will join the volus brotherhood.

We shall welcome you with open arms.  Also, don't forget to mix in a little bit of defensive stance.  It can do wonders couple with shield boost to stand up to praetorian laser eyes.

Here's another entry from me - 'Peak 15' hardcore challenge 

Lvl 20 Geth Juggernaut with Geth Spitfire V
Weapon mods: Magazine upgrade V, High velocity barrel V
Gear: Incendiary IV, AR Amp III, Cyclonic IV, Survivor loadout V (super cheesy)
Objectives: Upload, Devices, Devices

Another hour+ solo. Wave 9 is ridiculous with the juggernaut - surrounded by brutes, banshees and ravagers. It got so messy that at one occasion, I was unable to move! I had only 3 missiles by then and hesitantly used one. Oh well! I can't fathom how people do this in sub-30 mins.

Got to wave 9 without using gels. With a little bit of caution, I guess I can do the insanity challenge. Cheers!

Has anyone tried these flawlessly? Meaning not just ten waves survived but also not using consumables? I have tried and I have to say its NOT easy at all. I may just go with 10 Waves Survived to get a production out to support this thread as I truly do like the spirit behind it and the flow of it. I will try again tomorrow when I have some time.

@ Invaderone - The challenge leaderboard is based on completion times so I guess most players use their consumables pretty frequently to help get a better time.

There have been a few 10 waves survived in the earlier challenges but I've not watched all the videos so couldn't tell you if consumables were used in those games (though I assume they were).

I just did one with the Geth Jugg mostly to promote this thread to my subs. I think Prestacious has done a great job with this thread and the spirit of it has been really great. I will post it once it has finished processing. I am really tired but once I wake up later I will post it up and hopefully Prestacious gets some new blood and a shout out into these too.

Im glad you did that. Prestacious has put a lot of time and effort into this thread and I think he deserves a lot of credit. hes done a great job keeping this open and giving unique challenges.

@bgsam: congrats on the run! Just getting these done is quite challenging and you'll noticed the more solos you do, the quicker they get!

@ Invader,cato and me0120: Thank you for the positive feedback. It's been a pleasure making these challenges, and there are plenty more to come! It's fun to see people completing them, I know the personal satisfaction I gain from doing a tough solo, so I hope people feel the same! It's also neat to see how quickly they can be done!

@Invader: Looking forward to your flawless solo. I've set up the leaderboard based on time, and a few challenges with some medal requirements all based on things that can be seen with a screenshot, to make this thread available to a larger public.

However, I've added a new symbol, much like the insanity symbol for any flawless run completion - however vid is required! (ℱ)
