^ Great job noeschi. Goddess with devices in the atrium is brutal! Devices will significantly slow down a solo, especially in the later waves when you have to kite enemies away from them.

For indoctrinated, was that with the carnifex or predator? I'll update hof now.

Thx

Oh, i forgott, it was with the carnifex, because i dont want to watch too extremely after the 4 Gold Medals. It was way easier than i thought. But i'm fine with hardcore for now ;)

Thanks. Yes, I agree, I think Indoctrinated is one of the "easier"challenges surprisingly. The carnifex is a bit of a beast on the TSent. HoF updated. Good luck on London!

^ That was the easiest time change I've had to do yet. Nice job kocka. You've put the pressure on me to get these done ;) What was your build like?

No Shockwave
Charge- Radius>Power Synergy>Barrier
Nova-Force and damage>Half Blast>Pierce
Passives- Power>Power>Weapon Damage

This was the easiest way to get 1000N on charge and still take the radius evo (while still being able to wear a Cyclonic Clutch).  Would have prefered a little more weapon damage so I could 1 shot Centurions and Nemesis in the body.

Congrats on getting it done! How many turrets at the end of 7?

Only 2 or 3 this time!!  (also the Wraith can shoot most of them through the walls, Tempest not so much)
Plus every time I saw an Engineer crouch down, I charged him immediately and ......Wraith to the face.

Not bad, there should be a medal for who can survive with the most turrets set up! I think I'm running the exact same build on my novaguard right now. Hopefully I can bag these two tonight and re-attempt the volus.

@rcolol: Interested in solos? the one spitfire game I had with you reefa and zyzi was prob my worst game of 2013. lol I needed a 24 break from my xbox after that.

just a question to all of you solowers^^

did you always go for time? nuking 5-8-9 and hope for another objective than targets on 10? saw that a lot on your vids.

prestacious, saw your mordus run and u had no single missile on wave 10 if i remember correctly. no offense, just asking. btw, was a nice gameplay

Thanks! Actually, I usually save one missile for wave 10 to target switch but I took a risky gamble on that run, luckily it paid off. Although, it was a stressful finale as I had no equipment left. I figure, go big or go home! :P I'm curious as to other people's strategy as well.

I try to use missiles only on objective waves if I need them. However, I think I'm going to nuke waves 5, 8 & 9 when I go back and try to improve my times.

that's exactly what i do. i normally nuke wave 8 and 9 if i had to use no missile before. one thessia run the game trolled me and i had only 2 missiles left and got targets on 10. my problem then is, that i dont clear the first 2 how it should be and then the fun begins... i just wanna have those 4 rockets left for wave 10. so theres no wonder, why my times are so crappy sometimes :D

I nuke depending on faction. I try to eliminate wave 8 and 9 as much as possible. I usually save 1 for wave 10 in case of targets, but usually 3 on 8 most of the time and 2 on 9. Geth and Reapers may get 1 on 5 if it is a killstreak.

Just tried Barla Von and got magnet grabbed during escort by a Praetorian. The escort started at LZ and I started it then ran past the Praetorian. Got to the ammo box and got pulled all the way back to the LZ!! I had all my equipment left too!!

I was going for time on the hardcore challenges. For the insanity versions I just went for completion. I usually try to get good nukes on waves 8&9 and save one rocket for wave 10. From experience I can say that the time difference good nukes and good objectives and general luck with respawns make is huge. For example I did a GI/Talon speed on Glacier in 17:30 which is the 2nd fastest GI/Talon not using AC. I know that if I get bad objectives, no nuke killstreaks this run can easily take 5 min longer(or even more). On other maps the time difference is even more significant and it can be in the range of 8-10mins. So to get these extremly fast times it is actually more of a fight vs the RNG than against the enemy.

I understand that going for like the minimum time is kinda funny and exciting, but I actually prefer quality gameplay over minimum time gameplay. Often the super fast gameplay is of great quality too, but personally I get more excited watching interesting strategies/builds or gameplay on maps that are rarely used for solo gameplay.

A quick question for those who completed the Shepard clone war part 2 insanity challenge:
How do you effectively deal with the phantom spam in the later waves?
Dragoons are fine as a warp+throw BE took them out. I got to wave 8 twice and wave 9 once and got wiped. I know that Phantoms on-host DR is ridiculous but it felt like I could take out the entire mob in the time I take down 2 phantoms. I am using only the tempest by the way. Its not that I can't take them down but they are taking too long and when I am focused on one, a centurion from behind takes me out. Thanks for any tips.
For some odd reason, I am having trouble with this particular kit than any other kit - could be because I hardly use it.

I've been hitting them with warp then hounding away the headshots with the Saber until they have only health and I knock them over with throw to give me a second to breath and get the killshot. Although I know this is hardly the most effective way. I'm also interested in hearing how people have dealt with it. I haven't completed the challenge yet, this may be why. lol That on-host DR.

Now I Am Become Death, The Destroyer of Worlds

Only tried the Hardcore Challenge, because i really don't like the Striker. Was a pretty smooth run, because i decided to play carefully and go for survival. Got 9 waves survived and again the game trolled me with the Center hack . Like HeroicMass i could hold the line, only one time i kited them away. Thanks to  4 Ops packs i had left and my new build for the Destroyer (never played him this way before). Actually i had to take one medigel at wave 10, but hey **** happens :D At least i did it on my first try and i really don't care about the ****ty time ;)

Wave 3: Devices
Wave 6: Targets
Wave 10: Center Hack

Well I don't know about how effective but what I did was basically use Throw to get them to bubble, then shoot.

Theoretically it would be better to simply shoot them while they aren't in "evade" mode, as they have no DR, the main problem being that their miniThanix will kill you in 3 shots that way.

If they get in close, they won't bubble, but Throw should at least knock them back a bit, and if they are on health it will ragdoll them (or they have to block it via bubble).

At any rate, this is part of why this one was challenging and took a long time for me.

My failed attempts were faster, but I was burning too much equipment too early.

First try merely the weapon ended on wave 8. I don't know if i will try this again, because it took me already 4x minutes to go there. The Drell can't take one hit, i think i'm simply to bad for that challenge. Can't deal with 2 praetorians, 2 scions and the troopers and captain at once. Until then the run was ok, but that wave 8 kills it for me

I would kite counter clockwise around the map.  When I was at the back ladder I would warp them as they climbed down.  Then shoot them Iin the head until they flip, then immediately throw.  Pretty cheap but very effective.  In the open I would let them charge me.  When they started any kind of animation like melee or flip I would use warp, then keep shooting until they flipped again for throw.
