ALMOST!! Was going for my first sub-30 on your challenges. Would have had it easy if I din'y get targets on wave 10. Had to use my last rocket to change it to a phantom, then cleanup took too long.

I was also going back over the previous challenges trying to improve my times and hopefully get a sub-30 minute run, managed it by the skin of my teeth.

My new Peak 15 run. Using all my missiles this attempt clearly helped a lot. I used the same setup as last time and the objectives were 4 devices>Targets>Drone.

I managed to improve my time for Indoctrinated too but I don't think I'm finished with this challenge yet.
My gameplay wasn't too good and missile use was laughable once or twice, a shame because the objectives were pretty damn good (Targets>Pizza>Pizza). The build was the same as last time.

another merely the weapon try and another wave 9 fail. time again horrible. i really don't know how u guys do this, watched a few vids and think: hell yeah, thats the way i play. but i go down too often and kill thinks slower. I think i simply can't play a drell and i will not waste a cyclonic for him

Wow, was last night sub 30 theme night? I missed the memo apparently! Great job cato and kocka (so close!) Yeah, it seems like it's time for me to up my game, kocka is getting too ahead of me

@Fatherofpearl: You're only seeing the images of successful runs really here with the occasional close ones. For the most of us, myself included, there are a whole bunch of fails to go along with those Don't despair. Slowing it down and focusing on survival is one way (something I do after failing a few runs while trying to go too quickly).

@noeschi: Those wave 9 fails are rough. You're almost there at that point. I think that's where having good objectives makes a big difference. Have you tried using responder loadout for those extra medigel? I kindof keep that as a last resort. If I've failed a run a few to many times and want to just complete it, I'll use responder loadout (guaranteed a little slower but more likely to extract).

HoF updated T - 7 or so hours till next week's challenge (I bumbed the time-table as per usual lol)

I can do gold solos with many kits but there are very few kits with which I can achieve such times. I can do sub-30 minute solos but only with certain kits and on certain maps like Glacier, White, Giant etc. I know some of it comes down to the RNG behavior but that might vary the time by a max. of 5 minutes. tried mordus the second time. way smoother than the first one.

wave 3 Targets, easy because of missiles
wave 6 Hack, easy because of decoy
wave 10 Pizza, easy because of decoy

Extraction i had 4 gels left, one rocket. i start as always up in the lab and they spawned 5 meters behind me. got downed, geled and got instagrabbed by an atlas -.-

merely the weapon i got stuck and kissed by a praetorian. this is no fun atm^^

yeah prestacious, i think i go with responder next time, just wanna get it done. btw, you said u have to pug for equipment. feel free to add me, so we can get some games in

Yeah, sniper challenge! Can start building those AR amps back up. I suspect low times from our PC players on the hardcore challenge (and knocking and smooth of course)

Rough luck with the Praetorian kiss and Atlas grab! If it makes you feel any better, I had a 79 min wave 10 Barla Von wipe yesterday, I had 1 missile left for wave 10, I get targets and manage a great target switch to captains. I ran out of time with 1 health bar left on the last target. lol I hate you avenger. Will attempt again but that was rough.

Sure, we can get some games in sometime.

@kocka: Yeah, I think the fact that it's collector still makes it a little tough, but I suspect some very quick times on this one. I also think the 5 waves survived makes the insanity challenge worthy of it's name

So the Javelin challenge is really a Widow challenge?

^ it's a bit of both I guess. I know you've been doing the insanity ones so then it's a widow challenge. (the widow was more in keeping with the theme). But, you could always go for a hardcore run with no survival requirements with the javelin for fun

I have done the GI w/ Javelin before (and GE for that matter).

Only Widow one I have done was GTS actually.

I might give these a shot sometime this week though.  Might do both for the hell of it, but the reason I don't do both usually is because I am not too interested in attempting to get the best overall time.

Not a bad idea but I'd be very surprised if anyone completed the challenge and didn't get 5 head-shots before 25 kills.

Both versions of this weeks challenge look like fun, it's just a shame my PS3 will have to deal with hazard Giant and Collectors at the same time - a painful combo.

Most of the basic Collector units will require the same number of body shots to kill as headshots with the Widow.

Possessed Captain is different, as are the Scions and Praetorians.

not the fastest of solos, but one I feel pretty good about with 5 waves survived.  This should be entitled, Heroicmass hates using the javelin on abominations.

I will upload the vid in a bit.  I also may go for a better time before I upload.
