 I garnered courage today and completed the Heart of Hydra challenge. The only thing that came to my mind during the entire solo is EDI's line during Tuchanka maw hammer mission's final battle - 'This redefines Insanity'. Anyway, I did it on my 3rd try.
RNG gave me targets on wave 6 the first time and the timer ran out before I could get the 2nd target 
On the second try, I got stunlocked on wave 5 by loldrone and hunters when a prime sniped me from quite some distance.
Third time's the charm. Here's the final screen:

 
Objectives: Targets (managed it by the skin of my teeth with about 10 secs or so left)>Escort>Devices (almost made me rage quit but luckily there were none in the center of the map)
I didn't give a damn about time as this is a battle for survival. Used only the lancer, mantis was just on my back chilling.

^ bgsam: That is nuts. Sick job man. I will get that one done at some point. Looking forward to seeing the first vid of this challenge. Getting it on your third try is pretty impressive, I've tried at least 4-5 and have been trolled pretty hard.

After getting synched more times than I could remember straight out of charge, I tried Heart of Hydra. Got to wave 10- Targets. Many rage missiles were fired. Tried one more time for Rise of the Phoenix and had 0 gels going into 10, but was killing pretty fast. Here is the result:

Escort>Targets>Hack
Disruptor IV
AR Amp III
Cyclonic III
Geth Scanner V

Edit:  I forgot- Heroic is a scrub!

This is probably the toughest on the list acc. to me (don't know how Barla Von compares with his, I haven't tried that). I don't have a good recording software to capture video. Also, it is largely dependent on the RNG - have to hope that it doesn't troll. Only on my third try, I found out some decent strategy that worked and kept the primes off my back. Nuisance they are. And good luck with this.

Nice run kocka, I like how close you and Heroic are in the standings haha. I actually gave the hardcore run a go and was absolutely destroying it. I found a decent rhythm with the vanguard and harrier. That 25% boost after a charge is ridiculous. And then I got disconnected from EA servers.

I also tried Heart of Hydra twice and got targets on wave 3 both times. lol that's 5 times now targets on wave 3. I've been using the Mantis and actually find it goes much more smoothly with it. It's definitely doable, but all about luck

I stink with the Phoenix kits even if I do get a Harrier.  Was very surprised by the time when I finished, most of my fails have been around 41 or 42 minutes.  You still got me by 4 seconds!!!!! Guess I will gave to retry another challenge later, but no Cerberus for me for a while.

I realized I've been slacking on these challenges. kocka has gotten too far ahead of me . I'm going to try to get three four hardcore challenges done tonight before I rage quit in a missile fury, likely after getting targets on Hydra again.

Edit: I wonder if a mod or developer will ever do one of these challenges. It'd be fun to write Ninja Stan down for a completion

Interesting. Well, I had a feeling when making it that it might be harder. You still managed to shave a bit of time with it at least! I didn't find it too bad yesterday aside from the fact that you are always out of ammo with the harrier. We'll see I guess. It's def an interesting set-up, but the insanity one is a little more natural.

Derp!  Did you finish the run?  What objective did you get on 10?  Might try again tonite, but really need to build consumables back up.

 Can I send you a FR and we can get some Platinum creds racked up.  Most of my Spectre DB's only play on weekends or have moved onto other games.

I used all 6 missiles and just quit. huge derp. Yeah, FR me, we can get some plat games in anytime. I even got through devices on wave 6. Such a smooth run. Ahhh. One of these days.

Ouch - thats bad! I knew this might happen with me as well and so, I changed my key bindings for missiles, ops pack and thermal clip packs to random keys so that I don't rage-use them. I don't think thats possible on console, or is it?

Perfect run through 9, even got Pizza>Devices.  Devices again on 10, died on first device by  a split second.  Ended up dieing 3 times on 10, then using 5 cleanup/rage missiles.  Time was 59:57 with 5 waves survived.

Wow, that's harsh. I taped a bottlecap over the d-pad to prevent such mishaps

Ahhh Kocka, sounds very similar. That's brutal! My time at 9 waves mark was slow at 50 mins. It was honesty fun to play like that though. Purely for survival. At least devices are somewhat doable. Wave 10 is more intense though.

@cato: Oh yeah, I'll keep trying til I get it. I do feel like that was the one though and I'll have to suffer through some more targets trolls til I luck out again. I was actually not spec'd for sniping at all though and had like 30% less damage out of the Mantis than I could have (I realized I'm better set up for sniping for this challenge). I didn't have any respec cards so I just promoted a few classes. I also can only try that one like twice in any given night before I lose my focus. So it may take a while.. lol I'll have it on vid one day. That and the volus one, which may seem easier now haha.

Wanted to go sub-30 but got targets wave 10 with only 1 rocket. Also only died on wave 10 trying to finish off the last target that was hiding.

Also, as a sidenote, I'm going to be away from 8/22 to 9/2. While I'll be able to post, I may not be able to update the OP or HoF during that time (unclear as of yet).

Therefore,
There will be a Trifecta of Solo Challenges, yup, 3 solo challenges, coming out this Sunday (a day early) 

Hopefully that will tide people over until the first week of September.
Cyclonic hoard mode begins!
