PS4. I'm not worried about paying a premium for online gaming since I've been doing it with Xbox Live for years. I can see where people who are Sony fans would be disappointed with the switch to paying for online gaming though.

Depending on some money I might come across from an inheritance, I might buy the Xbone to play some xbox exclusives, particularly Halo.

I'm planning on buying a cheap PS3 first, and then buying Heavy Rain, The Last of Us and Beyond: Two Souls (when it is released). I will buy the PS4 later down the road when it becomes slightly less expensive.

Haven't a clue. I was set on the PS4 before E3 but now I'm not so sure. None of the games really interested me, as opposed to most of those on Xbox One. That'd kind of feel like selling my soul though, because I don't agree with what they're doing.

Might get a Wii U to supplement if I can afford it.

Well, you're the one that's still buying it despite the fact that it's made to watch TV, sports, and CoD. Even many Halo fanboys are jumping ship.

So if you must know, you would be the spendthrift dudebro demographic. The remaining question as to whether you are a part of that demographic is whether you like linear military shooters and sports games.

You haven't stated whether or not you're uncomfortable w/ the Kinect Spycam.

Xbox one will have the same games as PS4 minus the Sony exclusives which dont interest me. As for the spycam, im not buying into all that spy nonsense and I dont use kinect anyway.

I still see no valid reason why one should settle playing video games mostly on a console.. buut I'm tepted to buy PS3 and PS4 just in an effort to manage some small modest FU to Microsoft.

..Plus gotta say, PS has managed some very..relevant exclusives over the years. In seven years, it has managed three games so (seemingly) innovative and relevant that it makes me sad I don't have PS. It is three more than Box sports:p
...Is PS4 gonna be backwards compatible? Guess not?

I'm not sure, I like not having to be connected to the Internet with the ps4, but I'm connected to the Internet with my Xbox and the used game thing bothers me since I share my games with my sister. She wants an Xbox one, devoted fan she is. I'll own both so ill most likely end up with both. Get the best of both consoles.

You know what I consider the biggest downer about my decision to move from 360 to PS4? Knowing my Mass Effect saves won't transfer from ME3 to the next game (assuming our saves carry over).

Maybe I'll buy a PC a few years down the line if nobody's figured out a way to convert saves from Xbox to Playstation like they have between Xbox and PC.

I don't think this will happen. It'll pretty much be a fresh start all around.

What about a company's ability to brick your console if you do not check in with your parole officer everyday, Do you buy that?

Xbone. I have a fast and stable connection, and I never buy used games. I dislike DRM, but my hate can only stretch so far on pure principle.
What sealed the deal for me personally is that all games on the Xbone will be running on dedicated servers (at least all major franchises).
Playing ME3 oneline for 1500 hours teaches you the value of good servers. Because EA and most other companies have truly horrid servers.
