Yeah but you can buy a 360 used for half that price. Ps4/Xbox One won't be half the price in a year.

I kinda wish they had stayed only with next gen as that is what I'm getting it for, but as long as they design and optimize it for next gen and downgrade for current consoles, I see no problem.

I'm also of the opinion that some of DA2's questionable design choices were the result of a larger focus on the console market. Ideally, I wish DA had stuck to PCs as I myself am a member of the Glorious PC Gaming Master Race. Very few games can afford to be PC-only, though, so it's hard to begrudge. I just hope in the future that developing with consoles in mind doesn't leave the PC version gimped like DA2 did (starting with no mods... the rest of the list is both exhaustive and purely speculative, so whatever)

Quoted for truth. This generation of consoles has lasted 7 years - I say seven years! That's plenty of time for you console guys to save up. I know I did - I have a PS3, but I just built a new rig six months ago and I'm never going back to consoles ever again. I just beat the Witcher 2 for the first time, and I cannot believe what I have been missing. I'm almost sad that I wasted so much time with Skyrim.
The reason why I bought a PS3 in the first place was to avoid the draconian DRM of games like Assassin's Creed II, but I think the industry has learned its lesson since then (for the most part). I think it's time for us all to move on. Embrace DX11, actually being able to utilize more than 4GB of RAM, and all that good stuff. The next gen consoles and PC platform have so much more to offer, and I'd hate to see the devs cut back on those features. But I understand that we're in that transitional period between generations, so it does indeed make sense from a sales perspective.
