Me too.

I'm thinking that the rings are the factions you can recruit with the thumb ring being Blood Mages. You can only recruit four, however, as Red Templars and Blood Mages would obviously refuse to work with people they perceive as the enemy.

I believe it its the symbol of the spirits of the fade. they would naturally fight against the demons Also the Sun is red in the fade.
