So I just completed my fifth ME2 playthrough, and wanted to see how my douchebag-Shepard would look in ME3. I knew about the problems with faces when Mass Effect 3 first launched, but I never had any problems with it. At least not with my four other Shepards. Until now.

This is Olaf Shepard in ME1.

Olaf in ME2.

Now in ME3...

Why was this Shepard so hard to recreate? He's doesn't have the same smugness look in his face anymore. I know his type of hair doesn't exist in ME3, but I can live with that.
His eyes are different, and I can't find a pair of eyes alike what it used to be. It's really depressing.
Oh, and I have tried seeing it in-game. It's still wrong. It's strange, because my other Sheps looked really nice in ME3, and were close to how they looked before...

Can someone give me advice how to fix him? I'm not so motivated playing ME3 a fifth time if his face is not right. The face is basically the only thing that sets apart my different playthroughs with this one.

... and where's the renegade scars? I thought they also got imported. :crying:

EDIT: Found it http://faceeffect.bl...t-tutorial.html

Read what it says on the site, don't just rush into anything, aight? And make sure you dlownload and install all the stuff you need. ;) .NET framework and such..

What was it called? There's a remodeller for Mass Effect 3, it basically takes your save from ME2 and then your ME3 save and lines up two different polygon structures, one for each head, and they do come out pretty much the same. Or better than it prolly wouldaf been.

I'm sorry I can't remember what it was called.. Lazarus something perhaps? Man you have to google it.

I feel your pain tho, and this tool may be able to fix it, but I have had different experiences with it. One good and one bad rly.. Also, I'd like to say that I think your Shep looks real good for an import, I know it's personal since you've been looking at him for a while so he may lack some minor things. But all the texture differences can't really be fixed. :/ Unless you do some modding of course.

It seems Lazarus only works with femSheps... :/

Thanks anyway.

Wow, I totally forgot about that. I'm sorry.

You can maybe jump thru hoops with Gibbed ME3 save game editor. And I think there's a Gibbed ME2 save editor as well. If you load your Me2 char into that, then take his eyes and save on your desktop, open Me3 char up in Gibbed 3 editor, you should be able to import it into him, without any hassle in-game. As long as the texture has the same proportions as it would have had before the import. The face textures, I dunno. :/ The eyes can be fixed, I'm sure.

Because in Mass Effect 3 Shepard is BioWares character so it doesn't matter if they all look generically the same. There is much less diversity in character creation in ME3 that's for sure.

PS- ME3 Olaf Shep looks like a Russian Cortez! XD

Appearantly, colours are that hard to distinguish.

It'd be easier to tell if the ME3 shot was in-game, preferably someplace with good lighting.

Big deal. None of my Sheps look even remotely as close to their originals as yours does.
