Honestly. Compare DA to games like BG, NWN or any of that genre, but you can't compare it to Mass Effect.
DA is a traditional "D&D"-style RPG without actually being D&D. Mass Effect is a TPS/RPG Hybrid. If you prefer one to the other it'll mainly be because of a few nitpicks or because you prefer one style over the other.
Mass Effect the better game?

Yes. Two different styles of games.
Which is better is a matter of opinion, but if asked which style I enjoy more, I'd have to say Dragon Age.

Just like you did... I see. Well I guess, there is no point in further discussion.

WOW just wow! Did they ever screw up Mass Effect/2. I am fighting hard just to YAWN play through this thing. Your characters have no stats. They don't even have a health number anymore. The weapons have no damage number asign to them anymore. Ammo in the first game have become "POWER/TALENTS" in the Mass Effect/2. Thankfully this will be my last Mass Effect game. I will not by the last one and I wish I had not bought the second one.

Dragon age, I liked alot better. The combat and controls are so much better I hate first person shooter type games. I prefer the simplicity of pause, point, click, and kill. The inventory/control system of ME was simply too difficult and annoying to deal with. And I hate annoying minigames.
