Could you clean up the nominations a bit, OP? Thanks.

But to be on-topic, I want a Darkspawn companion, however unlikely it might be, I'd still like to have one. He could wear specially-tuned enchantments on his armor or equipment that would minimize his spread of the Taint, wear identity-obscuring cloaks in civilization, just be cool. Talking to him would be interesting, if he was done right. And just to be cheesy, call him Lightspawn.

Cheers...Did not realized things would get this...involved. In the process of making a nice neat spread sheet, will link to it when I'm done.

Mine is conditional.
If the MC is the Warden from the first game (please).
Leliana, and Sten.

If not
I don't care. whatev.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm not getting my hopes up. Using Mass Effect and main man Wrex as a loose metric

ME, Playable; ME2, Cameo; ME3 Cameo(and not a single playable krogan);

I was looking forward to playing Shepard with 2 Krogans

Well then you should not care then since the Warden won't be the main character of Inquisition.

Wow, 22 votes for Cullen. I'd say he's winning.

A more conservative/traditional male Dalish.

This sounds great! And his spells should be more Druidy.

Id also like a Female qun rogue, a dwarven fighter, and a bounty hunter kind of character- any race.

Something different in their characters.. Most of DA's characters feel like rehashed versions of characters from some of biowares other titles.

That's because they are rehashes in a sense.

Really hoping that the leaked survey was telling the truth about Cole and that didn't get changed. I would love to romance Cole, and if not romance him, it would be really cool to have him as a companion :)

Anyways

I agree with the male traditional dhalish elf
I'd like a Tevinter mage that's good and against their government
A female kossith/qunari
Chevalier knight

-For me I would like to see an Arcane Warrior type of companion. Like a mage who is trying to go in hiding from the war so he learns about the Arcane arts and so people think or assume he is a warrior type human or elf. That would a new type of companion that I think they should at least try.

-Having another Qunari type of companion would be awesome again.

-Maybe having Larius or Jennka as a companion would be interesting as well since you would learn about the advancement of the darkspawn and plus only one of them can live. It can be like an Ashley/Kaiden choice.

No returning companions because we all know how great that went with Anders. I rather see them as cameos and have their own importance in the world. Whether they be an enemy to you or an ally. Like Morrigan can your enemy in DA:I because of your views or standpoint in a situation but in DA:O you romanced her with the Warden. Something like this I would like to see but if not I can't wait to be surprised in DA:I with whatever other ideas they have.

Cullen, Nathaniel, and/or Cassandra would be great.
A survivor of Kirkwall such as Lia, Ella, or Alain.
A male Dalish rogue
A qunari who's left the Qun, such as Maraas
A female dwarf, especially Dagna or Sigrun, but someone new would be fine
EDIT: Haven't read Asunder, but Cole sounds super interesting

I'm gonna put my trust entirely on Bioware for this one. Let's be honest, Bioware knows what's best for all of us. I wouldn't mind having an elf archer so I can tell him:
"So...You're an elf archer, how original."
"Oh Maker/Creators." (Bonus if he's a gifted CITY elf, so he can brag it to the dalish)

Also the female Qunari 'cuz mwhahaha. (also guys, stop it with the Kossith, I'm not even sure if I spelled it right)

EDIT: I forgot, also the darkspawn, 'cause fanservice :wizard:

well, if one of the architects minions decided to strike out on their own, who knows? it would be an awesome way to learn more about the darkspawn in general.

(remember the "helpful hooded stranger" from the awakening ending? can we have him? PLZ!!!)

Give me Cole, Varric, and Shale as a dwarf, all LI's, and I will be perfectly happy.
I mostly want new companions but if there were some old companions then that'd be fine with me.

I would prefer all companions are entirely new characters. The lessold characters, the better, unless they are characters we never got to know very well but even so, keep the characters we know of as minimal as possible. I would love to see Ariane and Finn again.

Otherwise, I like a surprise of new and interesting party members. Would also love a companion who is with you as a spy for a rival faction, who can end up betraying them for you based on your relationship (Whether friendly or romanticle). It's cheesey but awesome. ^_^

I would say he's doing pretty okay for someone who's never been a companion or featured in the trailer. Varric has been featured in comic, trailer, and a companion in DA2, so it's to be expected. :P

Varric
Oghren
Cassandra
Merrill (but a grown up version of her, that dropped all the whining and the pursuit of blood magic)

I want Morrigan to be in the game as well, but not as a companion. I think her personality and her goals don't allow her to be a follower anymore. She should be a lone wolf pusuing her own objectives. The main character should meet her at certain points in the game and decide wether to help her or try to stop her. I personally wouldn't enjoy if she was an available LI either. Iromanced her with my warden in DAO and I wouldn't enjoy if she was ready to switch partner in DAI.

I really would hate to have any returning permanent companion. I don’t want another Anders mistake; to my point of view Anders was the worst companion of DA2 although he was my favourite companion in DAO:A. At the end of all my DAO:A Anders was quite happy to have been recruited by the Grey Warden and my Warden commanders would never have accepted that the order require to Anders to give his cat however whatever his status was at the end of DAO:A, in DA2 he has left the Grey Warden and he is rather upset about them.

I would have no problem however with returning temporary companions (like Merrill was). I wouldn’t have problem either to have Talis as a companion, I did not specially like her or dislike her and she wasn’t following Hawk long enough to be really influence by him/her.

Also, if at the end of a game a companion was a powerful high level character I don’t want to have his level scaled to my new PC. I still don’t understand why the fusion of Anders with Justice was such a weak mage although both were so powerful before Justice possessed Anders.

Edit:
About the new companion, I really like the Idea of a Disciple however I understand that it would be a problem to walk in the streets of a city accompanied by a darkspawn. I we have a disciple as companion the NPC must react to his nature.
Another companion I would like to have is Cassandra.

Well, I guess Bioware has enough companion ideas to last throughout the entire Dragon Age, and the next age too (I'll call it the Flemeth Age)
