As far as I'm concerned, Dragon Age 3's competition will largely be determined by when in 2014 Project Eternity gets released.
Isn´t that PC only?

This thread's original post would be so much more comprehensible with capitalisation, punctuation, grammar, sentences, paragraphs and a logical flow of ideas.

The Witcher 3's release date is nowhere near Fall 2014. I still don't really understand what this thread is even about.

the trailer had awful aesthetics, graphics and did not do a good job of staying consistent to orignal morrigan. The dev team are taking significant parts of the DA2 combat/game in general and using it to, at the very least, inspire DA3. The dev team are responsible for DA2. EA ie day 1 DLC, ****ty 30 minute DLCs, possible rushed deadlines, micro transactions in the pvp. Voice acted MC, no origins/race choices. Mass effect 3.Mr.House wrote...
How can something look awful when we know very little about it?

if they release DA3 in the fall of 2014 it will have to compete with the witcher 3 which in my opinion is not a good idea. bioware games have the best characters the only one that comes close is the witcher games and they are also similar in other ways so they will release DA3 at the same time as the witcher 3. in short these RPGs are very similar in the way they work and the people who love them. and unless I am mistaken they will have great replay value so it isn't like you just beat it once then stop which means if someone buys the witcher 3 they will likely not be done with it for at least a week and then they will likely buy a used copy of DA3 or wait even longer. it just seems stupid to go against the witcher 3 if they don't have to. they should release it in summer 2014 or winter 2014. what do you guys think

^ Yeah, I think it's a false contest - and really unhelpful.
These sort of threads are either worried that DAI won't be able to compete and will fail miserably, or gloat at the comparison. Neither is really that constructive, for a forum about Dragon Age discussion. EA employs ludicrously overpaid people to worry about sales figures, I don't see how a fan can argue one way or the other without access to the sort of information that companies have. At any rate, the Powers that Be would have certainly already noticed that they're launching after The Witcher. I don't think they need to be told that.

I guess I just hate Straight White Dude set protagonists.
look when you are releasing a game you don't want to compete with someone else for sales. I am not saying bioware is afraid of them or should be but they might lose sales.bigbad1013 wrote...
This whole Dragon Age vs. The Witcher thing is just silly. Yes, the first two Witcher games were good games (and I own both of them) but they're not THAT good and they are certainly not something that BioWare should be "afraid" of.
Heterophobic, racist, sexist.
