releasing DA3 in fall 2014 is not a smart idea and I am not complaining about the long wait

I think that they should release the game when it is done!

There's a quadzillion games coming, all the time. Wasteland 2, Project Eternity, Fallout 4, Planescape: Tides of Numenora, Cyberpunk 2077, The Witcher 3 etc. etc. No matter when DA:I is released it will have to compete with something.

So stop complaining about EA/Bioware deciding to not rush the game. I should think that people would be pleased about that, after the violent lashbacks from DA2 and ME3.

You'd be surprised how many TW fans are on this site. If you check the "Game of Show: E3 2013" thread in the off-topic section, you'll see that the large majority of posters were most impressed by TW3 and are looking forward to that game the most.;)

I was pretty dissapointed by E3 TW3. I mean, Geralt has a beard now, but is it Duncan worthy? Not really. So dissapointing.

Am I the only one that was bored to death by the witcher? I couldn't even bring myself to complete more than 2-3hr of game. Maybe the thing women=sexy cards to collect angered me. Just a bit.

But I understand garrusfan1 worries: many people would rather buy the witcher than dragon age (it's unbelievable, I know), so if they come out in the same period... well, since we are in Bioware's forum I don't think that many hardcore TW fan will be answering.

Of course everyone is entitled to their opinion, and you certainly don't have to continue to play a game you don't like, but I would recommend giving The Witcher a chance and play a bit more of the game. I stopped for a while when I was still in Chapter 1 as well, but continued playing later and got very impressed with the game.
Oh, and feel free to not sleep with anybody during your playthrough. You can let Geralt be completely faithful to one woman (there are 2 main love interests in the first game). It's up to you to roleplay the guy how you want it. Just don't complain he's a man wh*re when you're the one clicking the option that leads to a roll in the hay.;)

Actually my last problem with the witcher is the cards thing. The story didn't impress me, starting from the memory loss (that's new) to the killed newbie (never heard before) that the chara new from 2 days but was so emotionally atteched to that wished to join a quest to revenge him...right. (There was another problem anyway, if I recall correctly) I stopped playing many times, giving it many possibilities (I reached a city, don't remember the name). Looking in TW's wiki for a mission's solution I found out the collective card thing. It's not a matter of clicking or not, but the concept behind the cards itself that bothered me, that women are just thing to collect etc. If the game wasn't boring for me I would have played it anyway.

Not really game-related.

End of line.
