Here's a list of gaming chairs I've been eyeing. I want the kind that sits right on the floor. My biggest concern is comfort - I have some minor back issues and would hate to exacerbate them. 

Which of the ones that are seated right on the floor would you recommend? I just need a seat - not gadgets/speakers. I just need something supportive for the spine. :-)

XRockers are good. I've had two over the years, one with three speakers that rolled if I decided to and the one I've got now with two speakers that sits on a base and is comfortable, plus providing surround sound.

Heh. I have  a couch but the way the room is shaped the couch is too far from the TV for my vision. And I can't scoot the couch closer. The room is set up in a frustrating way due to low storage space. (A temporary living situation I assure you.) haha

Aye, if you happen to get one with speakers(which I recommend), it'll be good for your back AND your ears.

Though with new consoles coming out, I don't know if gaming chairs will need to evolve with them. If I were you, I'd get a cheap Xrocker you think will support your back well, then later on if you want a better one, shoot for the stars.

Hm this is good advice. I know I don't plan on a next gen console anytime soon, and I still love to play all my super duper old school consoles too. hah
