I remember when I was younger and thinking legendaries were the best Pokémon. Silly me.

Some are. Some legendaries are on the banned list, and a lot of them are on the OU list. I almost always have a Zapdos and a Suicune on my team, two of my favorite OU pokemon.

I haven't kept up with all that in awhile. I don't care how good or bad Crobat and Gengar are though. They are so badass I always want them in my team.

^True, especially when you're looking to train the best Pokemon for it's species. It's important to have knowledge on breeding, experience gain ratios, Effort values, and Individual values as defeating certain pokemon will determine your stat gain on level up.

I stopped playing Pokemon 2 generations ago because it's stressful (OCD about stat gains) to the point that my hairline started to recede like Lebron James. 3 years later and my hairline is back to normal now. (lol nah, but i did quit 2 generations ago because it's stressful)

This guy.

I'm wondering what Metroid: Other U will be like. I sure hope Samus is a silent protagonist again. It made her more intense.

Maybe it'll return back to the more nonlinear gameplay like the past games.

I bought me a Wii U and I'm very happy with it.

As a proud (if newly tainted:( ) member of Master Race, Box and PS3 have very little to offer for me. Their catalogue serves flavors one can gluttonously devour off Steam for a dime on any given Sunday. With WII U I got access to reasonably entertaining and different Wii catalogue, nostalgic 16 bit stuff and couple of genuinely cool WII U exclusives. It was a riot to buy THREE  WII U games and realize I now have like 50% of anything relevant published on the console:D

I was pleasantly surprised by how cosy it is to browse the net and use Netflix via WII U.

I didn't expect to like the toucpad, turns out I do. It was a huge shame WII U is proving such massive trainwreck sales-wise. Unlike hurrrr wipe air durrr solutions like Wii's remote and Kinect, the Wii U's touch pad has some sick potential as a controller/supplemental device for some involving exiting creative complex core game. A crafty game dev could turn this bastard of a touch pad into anything. Obviously such games would need to be tailor made for Wii U; restricted-by-design bonus feats for multi platforms can't provide anything too fun. Tis a pity nobody in their right mind makes WII U  exclusives as the console is owned by like 19 people so yeah:l

But indeed verily forsooth, this would be the optimal controler solution for proper gaming device of next gen.

I just hope fine folks who managed Homebrew channel for Wii manage to hack the crap out of Wii U as well. PS1, Dreamcast and Game Cube emulators would kick some measure of arse.

As I am beyond disgusted with Micro$oft right now, the more I read about the Wii-U, the more I think I will get one...

I have a feeling that the Wii-U will take off with the first round of price drops. Unless the Wii-U has had a price drop that I'm not aware of?

Nintendo mostly lost me in the GameCube era, and all the Wii did was maintain that minimal interest.  The Wii U might finally close the door.

Bethesda: It's too late for third-party support on Wii U

Nintendo...well, Nintendo has his own way of doing things.  - Roose Bolton

Bought myself  Duck Tales and begun re-living my childhood. When it is 2013 and you are using your brand new Nintendo for playing newly released Duck Takes, things in universe can't be all that bad.

Ehh Sony I don't trust, Micro$oft I don't like what its doing.

But Nintendo? Nintendo. I was a long time fan of and loved alot of there games, but how they keep doing things on there own, cutting the legs out from 3rd party and short of Miyamoto generally the IP's have no changes...and once he retires...

The big problem is when you look at the handhelds like the DS and 3DS there are ALOT of great games on it that SHOULD have had console releases as well. Overall this console generation for me is a disaster.

Frankly Nintendo has long since lost me as a customer.

Maybe new blood and leadership is what Nintendo needs. I don't hate Iwata or Miyamoto but they have made some questionable decisions lately. Besides, they need to make a great 3rd person pokemon console rpg instead of rumble and stadium games. That'll sell Wii Us
Maybe I just grew up from Nintendo and was never that invested in the first place

During last month or so, many a time I've had pretty much the same recurring thought with just object of my desire varying;
" It would be so cool to put X on my USB stick and then watc/read/browse it via game pad whilst laying on bed/sofa!"
Replace X with PDF Doduments, E books, comics in some format or another.

After thought occurs, Google search like " can Wii U read PDF" etc happens. Invariably, 1st result is always some Nintendo fan's appology post on some Nintendo forum explaining how it pretty much can not be done.

With above in mind, if somebody comes across a list of WHAT WII U ACTUALLY CAN READ I'd be grateful to see it. What is the purpose of USB stick anyway? Store Wind Waker saves?

I'm patiently waiting and hoping for some genuinely impressibe and reliable hacking squad to mod the fuk out of this thing. I think of original Wii's Homebrew channel with great fondness. Things the loyal, tiny Wii could be forced to perform.. t'was both depraved and beautiful. Since a heavily modded Wii is only console besides WII U that I've owned since late 90s, the whole concept of not being able to put whatever I want from my computer to this other device which would have hard drive space and capabilities to handle it perfectly fine is alien and irritating.

Apparently there already is Homebrew emulation for WII U's WIi emulator but that sounds little scary.
