After playing through the game on my wife's PS3, I finally put it on mine. So I started by completing Amgarrak, Witch Hunt and the rest of the DLC before I played Origins (except for Amgarrak on hard -- ouch). So I had all of the DLC rewards through Origins, but then when I transferred my character to Awakenings originally, none of the DLC reward items showed up. I had just stored them in my item box because I thought they were replaced in Awakenings, and not upgraded. So I reloaded Origins and placed the DLC items in my inventory, and then I tried starting Awakenings again. This time, they transferred. Not Awakenings status... but Origins stats. Any ideas?

In the FAQ of Awakening you can read the statement:
"Will my items, armor, stats, etc transfer over if I import my character from Dragon Age: Origins?
Almost all items are imported with your character. The only exceptions are the Origins promotional items and DLC loot, which were meant for Origins alone."
But: Exception PS3 - apparently you keep everything! But with origins stats
Good news:
Free promo items for DAO DAA and DA2 are available at:
http://social.biowar...da2/dlc_bundle/
Imported Wardens retain the stat, talent, and skill gains garnered from Lost in Dreams and tomes.
[*]Imported Wardens equipped with any of the gear from DLCs other than Return to Ostagar and Leliana's Song will appear "naked" with all of those items removed from the game. However the stats of those items, like fatigue or health, are still present on your character.
However beware of wearing armor to glitch stats on your character as the fatigue of the armor will also glitch onto your character... essentially making it like your character if always wearing armor fatigue wise, even when naked. And if you wear armor then fatigue wise it's like you have two sets of armor on.
[*](confirmed to be fixed for the *PC* as of patch 1.04. Imported Warden will be equipped with the Grey Warden Armor set)

Huh? Thanks for the reply, but that doesn't apply to my situation. I know that the first DLC items don't transfer.
I'm referring to DLC rewards: Blightblood, Sorrows of Arlathan, High Regard of House Dace, etc.
When I started Awakenings, they were not in my inventory. When I reloaded Origins, and kept those DLC items in my inventory, and then reimported to Awakenings, those rewards with Origins stats were what I had.

Okay I see
DAA is notoriously buggy. That's probably what happened on your first import attempt.
When you acquired the trophies from the Leliana's song, Golems, Darkspawn Chronicles and Witch Hunt DLC you unlocked items that will be added to your inventory for all future playthroughs.
Each trophy item has an Origins and an Awakening version. Should you import a save into Awakening without those items in your inventory the Awakening version is still added to your inventory or if you simply start a new game without importing they will still be added.
Hope I'm helping...

Right. Except on my first import attempt, they didn't transfer. On my second import attempt, they transferred, but with Origins stats.
