Seriously, who cares wether or not the Quarians have our technology? We're not rivals, we will never fight each other, we trust each other(for the most part) and fight a common enemy. The Quarians might not be a council race anymore, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't help each other.

Actually, its not even official that the turians gave it away. Weekes also said that the quarians could have made it themselves.

That is understandable. Though I don't see Shepard as being that old. I put myself in his shoes, so I see it as a 20 year old and a 24 year old.
