If I buy an unopened one will the codes still work, for the dlc

If its for the PC you can buy an "upgrade" through Origin, but with consoles I can't be completely sure because I play it on the PC I can't see the DLC not working for its really the same game just with a different code. I would think the worse case scenario is it would be considered a different game, but you old saves and DLC should still work.

The codes should work. Xbox codes are generally good for two years and from what I understand its actually a rolling expiration date
