Personally, I steer away from most twitch gaming materials; simply lack the coordination to use them. But these mechanics are much different, and give exploration another dimension. Both SWTOR and Skyrim are decent examples  of how such game mechanics are able to add to the experience.

This is supposed to be a party-based game.

There's already talk that companions might simply disappear when you get on the horse (and reappear when you dismount). I would prefer not to have the AI trying to perform these action maneuvers behind you, or even worse, just having the party disappear when you swim/climb/etc. and reappear once you return to even ground. (And I'm not sure how these things would even work in the tactical view.)

SWTOR is also party based, and can be played with a Companion filling that role. While I am not fond of the follower AI in Skyrim, it works very well in TOR.

Again, if it can be done, I would love to see it included.

I don't mind if you'll be able to jump or not in DA:I, but I did find out recently that I instinctively try to jump in video games. I kept hitting pause. Was very confused for a minute or two.

The only time I have thought about jumping in the game is if I have been playing another game (such a Skyrim or Dragon's Dogma) previously and I am still in that game's mode!

Previous DA games have not been open world, so jumping wasn't necessary and I didn't miss it. But the talk is that it will be, so I guess it depends on the set up/terrain, as to whether jumping will be required.

For me, Pause is all but automatic, and is often set on the Spacebar, but this is not always the case for all games.

Recently while playing Skyrim, I was attacked by a Master vampire outside of my home, and my instincts took over. But instead of Pause, I started Jumping in place; repeadly. Normally this would often result in a reload, but the Vampire could not land a blow while I was in Daffy Duck mode, and the townsfolk and guard killed him

Jumping for the win!

Nothing annoys me more than invisible walls. If I run off a cliff, I should fall to my death. Don't block me with an invisible wall.

I'm just impressed we can climb ladders now. There's many a ladder in Dragon Age that I've stared up wistfully thinking "Maybe one day ...."

So would you prefer doing that multiple times or just for ****z and giggles? I think the main reason invisible walls still exist to this day is to avoid frustration and stupidity. (Yes, cost is one of the reasons as well.)

I wouldn`t mind if we can jump abit. Like shep did in ME3. If its not that far across, a jump would be a nice feature to have.

Only add if necessary.  If I can jump from high places through a tactical method to have that
"surprise mothaf******"
element then sure, if not then doesn't have to.  I'm more interested if you could scale a mountain, climb a face wall or over crates like that gladiator enemy in the demo, and dragons like Dragon's Dogma play style. Dodging is actually been a great help for fighting.

and then this

Only purpose for jumping would being to jump over or off things so what would they put in place for you to jump over... Climbing I imagine would come with same issues too such as you can climb over or down something yet not other things would probably make it grating from an immersion perspective even more than being glued to the floor. For example I could imagine people trying to climb every single thing around them to see if can get up it (I know I would be one of them) and having some can and some can't would be annoying. Like in Warcraft getting on top of the enterance to Stormwind or in Ironforge there was a sweet spot which allowed you to climb to top of the enterance zone inside the city above auction house, I don't know many people who did not try to get on top of places just so they could jump off or show off via screenshots of where they got too. I am not saying jumping and climbing would be a bad thing overall but I can't imagine them implementing such features without causing many problems. However having such like a single book or pebble is on the floor yet you have to walk around it is annoying too, but there are other ways to resolve such problems.

there's more I want to add to support adding more of climbing than jumping but hopefully it's being considered atleast.
