Yup, Acolyte works great, but leaves her more vulnerable.  I use the Scorpion specifically for its delayed explosion effect.

 I use the Disciple with warp ammo. It has almost the same effect than the acolyte (stagger and strip shield enough to kill with the biotic explosion/ AF), but I don't feel like I am relying on it as much.

On plat I use the acolyte btw.

I don't know why everyone thinks the Acolyte is so mandatory.  I never use it, and I've never had a problem.  If you have one enemy, just BE them and then finish off with your weapon.  If there's two or more enemies, just BE them in sequence.  I use a Hurricane usually, or sometimes a Talon.  Also, if you use the Acolyte to drop their shields from range, you don't get the shield refilling from AF.

If you're using the Acolyte for the stagger, maybe use the Falcon instead?  Or the Venom could work really well with the Fury, I bet.  I'll try that out next time I have time.

LOl u r so mean Reefa :D yes I only like the acolyte or the claymore like Redjohn said. Lol. I barely use the hurricane but I always bring it for guardian ^.^

Mooks? Not really. Where you really lose without the Acolyte are Phantoms (requires different strategy, because 1 BE will not kill them, and you will have to use AF detonations, but this is why it's fun) and some Geth. And of course without the Hurricane you lose on the boss killing power, but I manage.

the onle need for the acolyte is for Primes and Atlas', and even then, a primed boss (DC) with hurrican shots is almost, if not just as, effective.

Acolyt is faster, but we are talking about 1-2 seconds

I actually prefer the Talon. I don't even have an issue with the Acolyte, the Talon just feels better on her to me.

The notion that a Fury needs an Acolyte is ridiculous. The Fury can use just about any single weapon you want on her.

Me, I stick a Claymore on her for the lulz.

I use her fists and breakdance kicks. When I'm tired of letting providing my teammates revive medals, I switch over to the Saber. Now she has CQC and long range capabilities.

I prefer the fury with the talon or claymore lately instead of the acolyte thing, it's kinda boring after a while IMO
