Well, Naomi's dad was a military face, but he's supposed to be KIA...I must say I was tempted with an idea of having sgt. Brooks recognised as her presumably dead father but if that was really the case, he would have surely looked for his daughter.
That was just the first thing that flew throuh my head when I red the name.
Did you use the name intentionally or was it just a coincidence?

I'm waiting one to see if SJ wants to write a quick piece saying the Asari come along and why the mother wants to come, or not.
Just waiting to see who wants to make the trip and why. Then the plan is for Wyld to say they are going to the convoy and have the next scene with the procession entering Bastion.
Then Wyld needs to unwind, re-equip, meet people.
Something I'm also doing is alluding to the wider war effort. I like the idea of Pepper putting vid displays so that the comm tent can start putting up ticker tape broadcasts with footage from cams of the war.
Cause Pepper's not going to stop upgrading things. He's a one man opgrading machine.
Also, with EDI's upgrades to Momma, we may be seeing short range communication with Omni tools returning as Momma now has encryption key's to fool Reapers.
Because for the final push, we'll need communication's back.
I'm also thinking of giving Momma a voice everyone can hear. Who would be okay with Momma taking control of the Bastion network systems, and appearing on displays and in holographic form as an Asari in a tight two piece..... or customised to their taste. Just tell Momma your preferences then don't delete your Omni-tool cookies!

The video displays, durn it! I could have referenced those in my last piece. Blah.
Momma could take over the communications, but I think that (and you probably meant for this to be true) that her AI status should stay secret, yah? I don't know, EDI wanders around the Normandy and goes on missions. But EDI is with Shepard and the base camp has a lot more people...now I don't know..that's what you get for stream of consciousness typing...
Want to put up something but mostly waiting now. Today is busy. If I get something up it will be short and likely not change plot much. You know, moar character development or something like that.

I think Naleena is going to be paying Sgt Brooks a visit after the war.... just dirty this fella up a bit, hair a bit longer, and add about 3 years...
I found Brooks! He's part of the post which included the Salarian and the coffee.
It seems implied that Marisa isn't coming along so Wyld and Nasyra will be conversing without a third person involved? Is that right?
I think the onus for progressing this is on me now., So if it can be confirmed who you want along for the ride that will help who get's loaded on the Valkyr.
Also, didn't two of Jack's squad bring her along? And do they need returning as well?
In the great scheme of things, Patterson is now taking the healed troops who can fight, and some of the lesser injured ones to Bastion who Bastion can treat off. Given they are straight lining to Bastion they'l probably arrive ahead of Wyld who will be rejoining the Tee-Eff, Misfit and Ensfield Rifle convoy.
Gonna have to put that post together for their arrival.

Ben O'reilly is the Salarian
If you want to expand him, go right ahead. One thing that's already in the story is that he's born and raised on Earth, somewhere in Ireland. That's all he said

Meh, The vid displays aren't there yet surely... Pepper would need sponsers. Advertising. But licences for music broadcasting.....
My first idea about the pub was that it had a real live band, with instruments and all. Farzam would go in and say ''Wow, look at that ancient drummset. Tama hyperdrive fussion set, all maple shells, die cast hoops and Sabian cymbals...classic.'' Then he would kindly ask that Hanar drummer to step down for a quick demonstration in shuffle beats

I asked a critical question -- is it safer @ Bastion or @ Alpha? Marisa needs to know. I'll write it in the dialogue.

lol. Well, Farzam hasn't noticed anything yet. He's got his own hobby sitting on the table in front of him...I sent you a piece by PM for you to peruse before I post it, FF.
@ShotgunJ: I'm going to suggest that Bastion is safer, if what you mean by safe is number of military personel about to surrender. Of course, it will soon be more chaotic (Marissa doesn't necessarily know that) and given radio silence, she's probably not going to catch a ride back up to the Destiny Ascension. That probably wasn't going to happen anyway...
I would imagine that Alpha is only safer if one wants to attract less attention. Not safer from number of people who can protect you. Especially after the appearance of those outcasts, apparently. Maybe Marissa wants to keep a closer eye on her new 'contractee' anyway...

From the safety perspective. Bastion is safer in that it has more soldiers. But is more of a target.
Folks have made Bastion as less of a target as they can manage and are actively managing the threat levels.
Bastion will, at some point, move out leaving a crew behind? To manage the camp. Or not, as the case may be, for the beam run. In which case non essential personel like Pepper, Gizmo, the Bartender etc, will be sent elsewhere. Maybe Alpha?
Alpha's mousy Hospital administrator is about to be arrested on suspicion of dealing with Outcasts in relation to misappropriating hospital equipment and human trafficking. When that happens the hospital will have no one in the senior position to liase with the military corpsmen. Without someone to oversee the systems of patient care and manage the investigation into what went on with the Outcasts, Corpsman Blake will have to take over the role, and he's not the ideal candidate. Plus he's an experienced doctor who could be working on patient's rather than pushing papers.
Bastion is safer in the short term, but Alpha is safer in the long run. Though relatively speaking, Alpha will only be stronger than Bastion, because Bastion will, at some point, vacate it's troops.

It's going to be a procession of trucks with Kodiaks flying in. Trucks will have all sorts of Tee-Eff gear and a boat load of Mis-fit's and Tee-Eff, Kodiaks will have Tee-Eff.
Trucks gear will involve a boat load of heavy mechs and Loki mechs. Some of which will be active and moving..... And will respond to Momma. (heheheeeh).
Something else specific to the gear they'll be bring is what I'm dubbing the Iron Suzie's. If you've seen Iron Man where Jarvis put's on Tony Starks Armour..... it's sort of like that. Except they can also be used to scan people, digitally create the armour and then fabricate it. Why?
......
Beeeecauuuse......
......
Anyhow, Sully's going to love them. And maybe Steiner will finally be able to get in and out of his armour without taking half a day with a wrench to do it. Plus, Wyld need much better armour than what she's been using. When she started out she was very much a user of the standard issue equipment she's been using all her life. And it's nearly all been destroyed or failed.
It may take awhile so Wyld will be putting her feet up for awhile. Which after being shot, going through battlefield surgery and then continuing on mission being supported by adrenaline and meds, is just what the doctor ordered.

Child: Wake up.
Shepard: Ugh. Where am I?'
Child: The Citadel. It is my home.
Shepard: Who are you?
Child: I am the Catalyst.
Shepard: I thought the Citadel was the Catalyst.
Child: No. I am part of The Citadel, and The Citadel is part of me.
Shepard: I need to stop the Reapers. Can you tell me how to do that?
Child: Perhaps. I control the Reapers. They are my solution.
Shepard: Solution to what?
Child: Chaos. The created will always rebel against their creators. Each cycle organics create synthetics. Without us to stop it synthetics would wipe out all organic life in the galaxy. We make sure that never happens.
Shepard: By wiping out organic life?
Child: No. We harvest advanced organic life storing them in reaper form leaving the less advance civilizations alone, just as we left yours alone the last time we were here.
Shepard: I think we'd rather keep our own form.
Child: You can't.
Shepard: You're taking away our hope, and without hope we might as well be machines.
Child: You have hope, more than you know. The fact that you are standing here, the first organic ever also proves my solution won't work anymore.
Shepard: So now what?
Child: We find a new solution. The Crucible... changed me... created new.... possibilities. We know you want to destroy us. You can destroy all synthetic life if you want, including the Geth. Even you are partly synthetic.
Shepard: But the reapers will be destroyed?
Child: Yes. But the peace won't last. Soon your children will create synthetics and the chaos will begin again. Or do you think you can Control us?
Shepard: So The Illusive Man was right after all.
Child: Yes, but he could never control us, because we already controlled him. There is another way. Synthesis. Add your energy to the crucible and create a new dna and a new form of life in the galaxy. Synthesis is the final stage of evolution.
Shepard: I don't know.
Child: Releasing the energy of the crucible will destroy the mass relays. You have a difficult choice to make and little time.
So a maximum of six hours before Shepard dies, the mass relays are destroyed, and the Normandy crashes.

Mind you, this is the evening that will not stop. More power to the night! For Batman shall keep Bastion safe while darkness looms.
I prefer the Gamer Poop interpretation of the Catalyst wher Javik tells the commander to "Throw it out the air lock".
The Catalyst says, "No! You Can't"!
(Cut to scene outside the citadel where the screaming Catalyst is seen tumbling through space away from the citadel).

Hey do they got electricity in there? Do they got a jukebox? Do they got some pipe out in the yard? Are you catching my drift. Ceiling is about 10' and sags in a couple of places. Just need a 10' long section of 2" pipe and jam it in a low spot. We've got some near drunk Asari. If we have some music. We have a pole, and "Hey Banes, get your ass outside and grab that piece of pipe, ****."

"Damn it Sid, what in the hell is happening here. I leave this place for a half an hour, and you turn it in to a zoo!" Radcliffe raged. Sid just flashed a mug at him that had captain stripes on it and, whistling a happy tune to himself, started poring gesting to Radcliffe to turn around. Radcliffe turns to see Naleena twisting around a pole, dancing half naked. A brief moment of silence.
.

.
"Carry on." He says and assumes a front row position.
