The story thus far: (Though alot more than this has happened, believe you me).
A disparate group of soldier's fighting the ground war of the battle of London have been taking the fight to the enemy in anyway they can.
Cut off from command, due to Reaper's dropping from orbit on top of camps broadcasting command and control signals, our plucky hero's have been forced to adapt and survive.
Some have gone out to rescue survivor's while others teamed up to survive and attack Reaper hidden facilities. They have lost comrades. Gained new ones. Discovered an unknown group of civilian survivor's, dubbed the Misfit's, who are helping the military strike back against the invader's of Earth.
Meanwhile, others have been helping re-establish command and control, which inadvertantly led to the discovery of a hidden Cerberus facility that was subsequently destroyed. Leading to the death and subsequent rebirth of one of their number due to a Cerberus experiment involving creating biotic humans out of non biotics.
Another group came across a woman known as Jack and her Grissom Academy students, who, after seperating to take the injured to hospital, assisted another group in destroying a Reaper installation.
All of which, eventually led these people to Camp Bastion.
One character from Bastion was tasked to go back out into the field and bring back as many Alliance soldier's as she could in order that Bastion would have enough people to make a beam run when the order came down. This person found a hero of the Resistance who had in his possession, a woman, who told the officer of two groups of armed civilians, who were better trained than most, about to go to war with each other in order to occupy a bunker the Reapers had not detected.
After some time, this officer returned with both groups, consisting of a Misfit Militia of humans and aliens, and the pro human party known as Terra Firma. Their arrival caused an uproar. And the officer responsible warned that both groups still harboured grudges towards the other.
Bastion has managed to survive by not broadcasting any communications. Instead, relying on a fleet of Mako's to go out in the field to relay and gather intelligence. However, thanks to an Alliance AI who communicated with the Normandy's AI, they now have the encryption key's of the Reaper's and can now mask their transmissions. The Mako's are now able to return to their more normal routine patrol's and transfer's of personel and equipment.
