Regarding the tower bridge assault.

What if, Artemis were given laser pointers so that the alliance could launch pin point attacks on large clusters of Reapers.....?

Or spy drones so that they could beam information back to the main body?

I figure once the main thrust hit's Reaper forces, the call will go up and Reapers will start throwing troops into the corridor the Allies are traveling into.

That will cause Artemis's route to clear, though it will occaisionally suffer the odd influx of troops hurrying to join the attack they may encounter.

Kinda like watching a craggy Aragon throw down the gauntlet at the front gates allowing Frodo and Sam a clear run through.

I'm sure Sully has IR lasers in the armory. That's what they're used for. They can't be seen and they're used for painting targets. We've been using them since 1960.

And that's kind of the plan.

Woot! Kodiak squadrans can now launch from maximum missle range rather than the range of their onboard targetting systems..... I bet them can even shoot over burned out buildings and then have missles drop down

I must confess, when you brought Artemis to the mix, I was so confused with all the Asari that I had to read every sentance two times for things to set in :)
But I admire you for being able to handle all that mess.
I would like to hear more about Shay :)
Still, I think sarge is my favorite...I have a soft spot for them chaotic/good types.

Re: painting targets. Easy cause done already in ME3. Now, the fleet may be tied up or another ship might get freed for a good bombardment. Even without painting the target recon will be critical.

Also, re: London Bridge and boats: The Reapers could have or probably will lance LB if there is any significant troop presence crossing it. Boats are a good alternative for being sneaky. But you could also do another fast rope drop from a gunship or have a Kodiak zip across and you can action hero drop out while it is at low speed.

If getting across the Thames is going to be part of the story, that could create a series of problems. Wheeled vehicles won't make it, like the M-080s and Makos at the base (Can the Mako's jump the Thames?). Same question goes for the Bucky Valkyr and a Tomkah. Add to that needing to pack troops into whatever vehicles are left. Geth Primes and Krogan are not swimmers. Well nor is most anybody across a river that size at night.

Anyway, I just wanted to put that out there as choreography is critical when it comes to stuff like this.

There are at least 4 bridges available to us. Idk if they are all down but that's why recon and distraction are a must here.

LET'S DO THIS!

:D

Are we ready? Because I get the sense that the other shoe will drop in the story of Zia and the Sisters of Fury, and by then, I feel that we will be ready to move into the high drama of making our push to the beam.

The drums of war! (well the drums getting loud again).

Meanwhile, this is for Shotgun Julia and Artemis:

Mako's can operate in deep space. I assume that running them through water will be no issue.

Alternatively, they can call in a bridging unit. Because I'm sure they have one that's always been there. But jumping?

Oooooooo yeaaaaaah!

Or they can use the Kodiaks to carry the Mako's and troops/.

I'm burned out and I am about to hit a spell of lack of time, so work will continue. Just waiting to hear a bit from Kham and waiting to get some fuel for a short bit or two. RL not really helping currently.

OOooo.. I figured out a way of getting across the Thames. Not to worry. Artemis is going to do it. Ranassa isn't going to like it though. She's going to b**** moan and complain, but she'll do it.

Sarge? Chaotic good? Ha! Well she's playing the role right now because that's what's needed. She's more of an assassin, truth told, playing war hero. Basically a lovely functioning sociopath.

Shay? I've got to get her more involved. She was starting to but then the Sarge came back. Naleena is kind of the writer's pet. lol.

But now I'm worried about Sgt Clark at Camp Bastion basically being used as a meat shield. His son is there helping Sully. Marisa finally found love. And he's going to get wasted.

FOR THESSIA!!!

No! That's For Lusia!!! you idioT!

No! That's For Sanves!

No! That's for Cyone!!!

For the Asari Republic!!!!

Okay. That's better.

Dooooh. This could be Romeo and Juliet all over again.

Clark could be sent to the bunker..... though I gues he's more the, 'fight them on the beaches' type and won't back down.

That's fine. Bastion is a place that can be turned into a killing field.

They can either repel the Reapers from the walls.

Or wait for them to walk through and use mies and hidden cover to rip them apart from their flanks......

And I've just relised.... We don't have any engineer gun turret's. Those would be useful.

If the Reapers come through Bastion with the door open they will be funneled.by Bastion's walls.

Clark can still get through this! I believe Sgt! I believe!!!!

And I just read your new piece. I always said - humans will be grateful for the alien help to win the war, but once it's over there will be a backlash against their presence. Asari will no longer be welcome. Krogan will no longer be welcome. Salarian, Quarian, and especially Turian and Batarian will no longer be welcome. Terra Firma party will grow in popularity.

Aliens would not have equal rights to humans on Earth. They would be denied citizenship. A Shepard who romanced Liara and survived would be forced to resign her commission and relocate to Thessia with Liara or sever their relationship.
This Shepard would resign.

I'm looking at you RedBelle.

And I'm shaking my head. Like with this expression:

"You did NOT just do that."

"Yes, yes you did..."

Hmmm. That last piece was one I pondered posting up for awhile. I always had this idea of an incident. I kinda wussed out and had a fight that Steiner cracked down on. That was never.... the.... incident though.

However, some character's, Babylon in particular, has stepped forward in that scene. She hasn't towed the Tee-Eff line. she's come to Wyld and gone back to her hubby. Actively sought him out whereas before she couldn't stand the thought of him. And now her boradcasts might come across more even handed.

The chips are down and Babylon knows the stakes. This army is held together on a wing and prayer. And they need to build roads to allow them to work together.

If they do it effectively, then Armitage loses support. If not, Armitage gains support.

But what's the MisQueen been getting up to in the meantime?

I'd say, but I'm focusing on the collaberation with FF atm. WE haven't seen the end of Padre though.

...........Does he remind you of anyone?

If I had the executive word on the operation, it would be the same cause I had Artemis doing exactly that in my mind. Infiltrate, asses the situation, coordinate the plan of attack for the main force with intelligence. You said they are going up then.

I like the Redbelle twist :)

The SoF closure is under construction with Redbelle now.

Name: Unknown, Codenamed "Hive"
Race: Collector
Gender: Once Male
Sexuality: None
Anything Special: Collector Adept
Family: Few Other Collectors Freed From Reaper Control
Likes: The sight of dead Reapers, and remembering his past.
Dislikes: Stupidity and Reapers
Personality: Cool and Collected yet Powerful
History: Hive no longer remembers exactly who he was but remembers patches of life from the cycle before. A soldier when the Reapers attacked he witnessed the attack on the Citadel, barely escaping. He may have lost family there but it is not a sure memory. He fought and fought against them with all he had until he was cornered and indoctrinated. Three centuries later he was a Collector with great power. One sent to hunt down the last of his kind. From the ancient Zhu's Hope to Eden Prime. When they were done with him he slept. He cannot tell exactly what happened during then or how long it was but he awakened on a Collector Cruiser. Among others freed from the control of the Reapers. Awakened. He helped in the freeing of his fellows before coming into contact with the Alliance. Though apprehensive to the idea the Alliance was desperate for any help so he joined in to help aid in victory for the... primitives.
R-P Sample: Hive had found himself once again cornered with his squad. His men were desperate, looks of fear dotting their faces. Hive no longer felt fear, the Reapers had found it inefficient. Hive wielded his specially create Collector rifle and reared at the forces. Erecting a barrier in his unusual green biotics he marched forward without fear. A brute rushed at him but with a simple strike of his biotics it flew to the side dead as a Reaper could be. If the Reapers were capable of one thing it was creating powerful weapons. Quickening his pace he ran into the mass of husks and cannibals with a combo of biotic punches that sent them flying left and right. In the middle of the dead and defeated husks lay a dying collector. Not a freed one, he could sense them. This one still had the stench of Reaper.
Holding his gun to its head he muttered a short sentence he remembered from the time before. "May the cosmic imperative ring true". He let his trigger finger pull. Looking at the now freed soul of another once honorable Prothean he almost felt pleasure at the deed. But he couldn't, Reapers had deemed that unnecessary as well

Yeah, Clark's a "fight 'em on the beaches" and won't back down type. He would have been bloody SAS back in the day. All the weak points in Bastion are going to be mined. Sandbags set up with belt fed machine guns. Clark's got his cigar, and he's ready. The kid is feeding ammo and spotting. He's got two grenade launchers. And they've got mortars.

When I get back into it tomorrow or Monday (long weekend here is messing things up a bit) I plan on having Cpt. Grelk get back to camp with the Primes, unit, etc. Not that anyone said he'd be the last, but I figured it could be the sign of the last few troops rallying at the camp. The Primes are slow and have trudged all the way to Bastion. Grelk will no doubt have valuable information for command as well as his resources.

For Rea, just waiting to hear back from Khambilo

And Playoff52, I sent a question by PM

Kel, you don't understand. I'm writing about Tali, and it's not for the thread, and about 3/4 of the "fans" who read it are going to hate me, but it's good sci-fi. No, Tali doesn't die. It's for my ME3 group yesterday AND wrote the prechorus, chorus, and outro for a song. Damn that song isn't coming out as planned: Electronica mixed with the "90s Seattle Sound" with the anti-guitar solo solo and heavy beats for my usual 8 minutes.

And I've got taxes due on Tuesday.
