I have six Wardens and three of them have the OGB ending. My canon Warden had that ending so it'll be interesting to see whether or not that decision has royally screwed everyone.
I has been stated by David Gaider that if you did not do the dark ritual than there would be no OGB. They were not going to make that canon. Now that may change, but I hope not.

They also said your choices mattered in Mass Effect and you would see all of that come to an end with the different possible endings in Mass Effect 3.hhh89 wrote...

They clearly said that they weren't going to the canon route, and that they're working on a system for imports.
I don't care that much if they'll make a canon for DAO and DA2, but I'd say it'll be a bad move.

I have two saves without an OGB. My Warden died in neither.

Same here. Plus he made a brilliant pun on "canon" and "cannon" with a brilliant picture to boot.
Now if I were as gifted as Mr. G I'd try to say something clever and witty about "canons" and "big bores"

Nope you're not the only one. Not at all.
The OGB seemed like a terrible idea even if I was even slightly interested in sleeping with Morrigan.
It could go wrong, but the chance to spit the Maker on the eye for its rules about how to stop a Blight (sacrifice a SOUL) was just too good to pass.
Where it was stated that the Maker made the rules to stop the Blight?
In the Chantry. If it´s a curse and punishment to humanity, then the rules are also Maker made.
Anyway, I don´t allow souls destroyed in any game I play unless the alternative is 100% sure to be worse. A result of reading the Elric saga I think.

Technically, the Maker is supposed to have created the taint in the magister, not the archdemons (who are 'created' by the darskpawn). The fact that to kill the archdemons a mortal tainted soul has to be sacrificed isn't necessarily related to the Maker, since the other darkspawn dies quite easily. It might be related to the nature of the Old Gods.

You got 4 endings for Origins, and OGB happens only in one of them.
Actually, you only participate or encourage the Dark Ritual in one of them
Doesn't mean Morrigan failed to have an OGB. The whole "pretty please" tactic seemed pretty weak, especially coming from Flemeth and herself. It may have just been an offer to save a friend's life in the process, or the easiest way to make it happen.
DG said it's not canon, but canon changes all of the time. I'm not saying it must be that way because I want it to, I'm just saying that the fandom needs to get used to the fact that we don't own the lore, and the writers really do have the power to change things "because I said so."
