its the lightest shotgun, doesn't to the worst damage for a shotgun, quick reload, quite good accuracy, and most importantly it staggers anyone it hits!

best shotgun evar!(except claymore)

I used it with a level 1 Batarian vanguard once and it was fun. It's pretty decent for power oriented classes.

Eh, it's not bad on a GE with accuracy and priming for FE. You get stagger with the Disciple and stagger with chain overload and FEs on top of it.

Also on anything with MM and a smartchoke it's fairly deadly.

It's not bad at all on certain classes I should use it more. I love the sound. It actually sounds like a real gun.

You have a weird taste in weapons, seriously. First the vindicator and now this...

Baffles me. 

I used to use the Disciple on the Shadow as an omni blade holder, but if I ever got stuck as the last remaining player against an Atlas (can't shadow strike), it might just have been more effective to throw rocks at it.

If the Disciple actually staggered enemies consistently, I'd use it. I find its biggest asset to be unreliable, at best.

I can kill mooks quickly on Gold with it.  You have to hit the head though. It's ok but the talon is better.

If this were true, I'd use the Disciple a lot more.  It doesn't though.  It's better than the Common and Uncommon shotguns, I'll give it that.  But it's completely outclassed by the Talon on anything that isn't making use of the Shotgun Omniblade.

I've said it before and I'll say it again - it's absolutely shameful that the Disciple doesn't have a bonus against shields/barriers.  If they wanted it to be a caster shotgun, they should have done something to make it good for casters.  If it had a 2x modifier against shields/barriers, it would be a very good gun.
