It could do slightly more damage; but it's fine with some equipment and nice rounds.
IMHO best on Asari Vanguard.
Smart Choke? Yeah!

I can kill mooks quickly on Gold with it. You have to hit the head though. It's ok but the talon is better.sabreracer wrote...

Also on anything with MM and a smartchoke it's fairly deadly in Bronze.
Fixed that for you

If the Disciple actually staggered enemies consistently, I'd use it. I find its biggest asset to be unreliable, at best.

...but it does. The first shot always staggers... but it's not going to chain stagger things like Ballistic Blades/Venom/etc.

Wasn't it you who called it the Asari dil** gun?
Well yeah but the OP is looking for builds that use the Disciple. If we're talking about anything more than an omniblade holder, those are to two use that I have for it. It's not like terribad but there are much better options. Of course I use the Scimitar on gold at times so I have a wide range of perspective on what a truly terrible weapon is.BlastoTheEnkindled wrote...

Your the same guy who made a thread about liking the Vindicator.
Nothing you say is relevant.

I think that's the main problem. You can give up DPS if you get back something you can use like consistent stagger. The weapon just kind of lost it's niche because there's nothing it does remarkably well other than hold an omniblade.Leland Gaunt wrote...
It might be passable if you used 888 of them at the same time.
But it's garbage on it's own, even the most impressive feature it has (stagger) is inconsistent at best.
Only reason to use it is to wield a Shotgun-omniblade without adding too much weight to your character. Otherwise, the Wraith for example does everything better and has only slightly more weight.
I used to like the Disciple in the beginning, but at this point in the game living cycle, it can only be described as garbage.
