Baldur's Gate and its followers (II, Icewind Dale, etc.) were AWESOME except for one glaring issue: they used the D&D rules.

Fixed in this game by implementing its own rules, specifically the magic rules.

My first dungeon crawler was Tunnels of Doom on the TI-994A when I was 12 and it now appears these types of games are a dying breed. Everyone is making tedious click-fest Diablo clones.

Please keep this genre alive. I know about Dragon Age III, I'm just a little nervous because they're "checking out" Skyrim "agressively" and we don't need another first person RPG experience.
