I use the video as an example at what would happen if it was a RL situation. The only reason why it was cut is because it would disrupt the game mechanics.

Don't sit here telling me that she would not rat you out had she saw you using blood magic during battle.

None of this is RL and I don't see how her taking note of you using blood magic during game play would disrupt game mechanics. I actually like that a character could react if you use blood magic. It was boring being a blood mage in DA2.

Because she doesn't know when to keep her opinions to herself. She needs to mind her own business when it comes to my warden's relationships. I don't need for her to become my mother.

She didn't irritate me on my first game play, but she did on my second one. Perhabs I will be flat out rude to her on my third one.

I don't know about that. I noticed my spellpower improved significantly when cast using blood magic. I did FAR more damage with elemental spells when cast with blood magic than when cast without it. Blood magic is really powerful. Add in the crowd control capacity to turn enemies on one another.

EDIT: It was also dang useful when I ran out of mana, which was quite common.

I agree that the spec isn't all that great compared to npc blood mages, the only reason I used it was because I thought characters would take note of it and it would add to the whole apostate mage thing. But, overall 'blood mage' was underwhelming.

The Chantry is afraid of blood magic because they're unable to control it. They can't drain the mana because their isn't mana to be drain. It is the life force of the mage caster, or the life force of the mages thralls/slaves.

Shes a bad person because she tries making my Warden feel guilty for loving someone, and not focusing more of my attention to the liberals of Thedas who wants to take and take.

I think she has valid reasons to be concerned when you are entering a relationship with a manipulative woman, an assassin that tried to murder you, another assassin, and Alistair the idiot.

It's still none of her business who I want to get into an intimate relationship with.

She also tries to interfer with all of my relationships, and essentinally tells me that it is selfish for me to want love rather than to become everyones Grey warden servant. That is not a cut content... oh and she wouldn't hesitate for a moment to rat you out to the templars. It didn't actually happen in the game due gamebreaking quests, but she would if she caught you using blood magic.

But she apologizes later on, even in a Morrigan romance and her dialogue is hilarious.

None-mages can become abominations as well so what of it? Blood magic isn't for the novice. It should be casted by experienced mages.

No they can't.

Blood magic isn't for the novice. It should be casted by experienced mages.

It shouldn't be used at all. All it does is weaken the Veil and hurt the minds of others and the user.

If I want relationship advices I will ask her for it. I don't need her to lecturing me about love either.

I assume this is probably the greater concern to the chantry and Thedas at large. Next to the mana issue. Blood magic allows you to enslave, manipulate thought, summon and control demons, and probably other things that are outright unpleasant. Its really not shocking that someone would want to put a ban on it.

Gonna have to stop you there mate, blood magic can't control demons. Just summon them.

Making it the stupidest thing a mage can possibly do, blood magic or otherwise.

It was stupid being a mage in DA2, period. How Hawke managed to hide in plain sight for so long is beyond me. And the game never adequately explains why Meredith doesn't have you hauled in.
