If I want relationship advices I will ask her for it. I don't need her to lecturing me about love either.

That's not love, that's obsession. Should we be surprised that an Abomination doesn't know the difference?

Does that mean you support polygamy?

Hardly. What she describes is utter nonsense. No healthy person puts their lives on hold to devote themselves to someone to the exclusion of all else.

Templars uses Holy smite to control the mind of the spellcaster; to force them to forget what they were fighting for a certain amount of time. If that isn't simular to what blood mages use to control the minds of their enemy then I don't know what is.
[/quote]

Its not similar at all. A blood mage can control and manipulate an individual for a very long time if need be. All they need is blood.

Holy Smite is a mostly harmless way to contain a mage.

Basically, you just described someone being stunned my friend.

And this is why this old woman irritates me. Like I said before she should keep her irrevlent opinions to herself. Perhabs a toad might be interested in hearing what this woman has to say about relationships.

Oh how I love when people hate a character just because they have differing opinions from the player. Its really no surprise that constant suck ups like Garrus and Varric are so popular.

Wynne is actually one aged character who I truly respect. She is not one of the typical old people who are the stuck up, short sighted, condescending fools I usually meet in my life. Instead she carries quite a bit of humility when speaking of her past and advises accordingly.

With age comes wisdom, as they say, but that's only applicable to people like Wynne. Most other old people usually end up with more arrogance and pride as they grow older. Too bad, that a lot of people don't appreciate a character such as Wynne.

Well considering that varric was only companion/character who wasnt bit*** in da 2 i would take that why he was so popular.

I agree that being a mage in DA2 was stupid. They most likely added it to please players who love playing mages or something. I won't knock BW for adding it cause I do love playing mages but the story would have been much better if everyone didn't give Hawke a free pass.

I don't think excluding the mage specialization would have solved the problem since Bethany is an apostate, and two companions are also illegal mages. The story should have addressed an apostate perspective, rather than ignore it almost entirely. Hawke is also the child of a known apostate, which was never addressed, since the children of mages are given to the Chantry.

Hazegurl wrote...

As for Circles. I agree that Circles are a stupid idea from the very start. Yeah, let's just throw mages in one location and give them free reign to practice their magic. Oh noes, some are turning into abominations cause they don't like being locked up and the veil just so happens to be weak here. A lot of problems could have been revolved if most mages were just killed outright. But nope the Chantry just had to show mercy.

I don't think the Chantry controlled Circles were a mercy. It certainly benefitted the Chantry to have mages they could call on to fight in the Blights, and during the New Exalted Marches to battle the Qunari.

Aveline and Fenris are fairly sane.

I thought Aveline was terminally sane.

I was worried Bioware was going to start writing realistic characters with down to earth problems when I met her.

Then Hawke did something and I got bored of the game...

So she should forget about her husband and forget about trying to find love on her own, and just bow down and suck your dick because you want her to?

So basically you don't want characters. Just sycophant robots that endlessly praise and bend over for your PC?

aveline yes but fenris were bi*** equally with anders and perhaps even more.

Really unfair to accuse Fenris of being on the same level as Anders. Fenris has issues with mages and slavery, but he does have interests outside of those issues. Unlike Anders who is so one-dimensional it hurts.

@Lord Raijin: Oh, so like... flowers and dinners and horses and crap like that?

Aveline just probably got bored with your romantic ass - she needed a man to sex her.

Sure why not? If I could make everyone else happy in the city... I can make my woman happy too.  I don't think shes the type of woman that goes after men for sex. It is one of the many things why she does not like Isabela.

@eluvianix: Aveline has needs... and I find it sexist that you would want to not discuss those needs.

Lord Raijin obviously isn't man enough to satisfy all of Aveline's labyrinthine needs - and has now begun a smear campaign against her in his drunken rage of inadequacy.

I find it grossly unsupportive to not want to be there for Lord Raijin's time of need - when he's at his lowest and is surely only posting from his free moments between being face down in a pile of vomit and worshipping Porcelinia the Goddess of Libations.

You should really be more sensitive about these serious topics.

She did have a Templar husband, and - she, err - knew some Templars, so we're still on topic yeah?
