Is usually abominations & blood mages that cause destruction, templars try to stop it from happening.

@Master Warder Z: the correct word is non-mages. Mages are humans (if they're not elves or qunari).

Yeah no, That sterotypical dogma of Magic being superior doesn't have a place in my vocabulary regarding this subject.

Might as well subject Humanity to the title of "Mundane" :/

Pro-templars supporters use both terms. You are still wrong in calling them 'humanity' in comparison of mages. Mages are still humans and part of humanity (unless they're elves and qunari). They're not a different race.
I don't think mages are superiors of non-mages, but since they are both part of humanity, and a term is needed when discussing. I use non-mages. Or mundanes. Or normals.

That's racist......Actually, I can't remember.  Was that a negative term in Harry Potter?

Red templars ain't true templars, seem more like the ME3 Cerberus version of templars.

Red Templars are attacking and destroying a village in the gameplay demo at PAX for Inquisition. The devs decided to save the Keep and maintain the Inquisition's powerbase in the region rather than save the town during that playthrough. They went back and the Templars (well, Red Templars) had killed every single villager.

And I never said that mages were better, but was trying to show that templars don't have a moral highground, and with them now turning into giant lyrium behemoths in their quest to destroy mages, they are no better than mages turning into abominations.

Neither side is better than the other at this point.

And here is the video of what I was talking about.

I wouldn't flaunt the assumption that the Templar order as a whole the thirteen contingents assembled by Lord Lambert to combat the mages wholly endorse nor even recognize the red Templars as a part of their orginization.

Now if you had seen that sword of mercy on a normal templar striking down a civilian with out cause your point would have merit but the Red Templars? No they are no longer worthy of bearing the mantle of being a templar, at the very least they have been consumed by their desire to stop the mages that they have forgone the loss of their humanity and in essence the very thing they are supposed to strive keeping the common masses from being exposed to.

Furthermore for this theory of yours to work you would need to have the support of the Templars in the doling out of the red lyrium to create these red templars and as far as i am aware the very essence of the red templars is at the moment a secret, where they came about and where they obtained that material is conjecture.

So calling red templars bandits and murders would be a fair point, but the Templar order as a whole?

No, I believe that would be a hasty judgement to say the least.

It was originally just a term but some of the wizard elite turned it into a racial slur. But when Hagrid used it, and I don't think he was racist, it was just a term. Now Mug-blood was a racist term, since it was calling a wizard/witch basically a halfbreed.

In my eye? Mages aren't part of Humanity, regardless of their species of orgin.

They are cursed with something that requires measures to guard against that would never be needed if they were truely a part of humanity.

And i personally find the usage of "Mundane" as insulting as hell personally, like having access to the power of magic at the cost of possibly becoming a demonic plaything at the drop of a hat some how makes them superior.

I thought the racist term was "Mud Blood" Personally.

Although i haven't delved into those books in an age and my recollection could be a bit fuzzy.

Oops, my mistake. You are right. It  was Mud Blood because their wizard blood was "polluted" with Muggle blood, making it and not pure and thus filthy like mud.

The major difference is that red lyrium can affect anyone.  It just simply seems that templars are exclusively using it.  Once you destroy the red lyrium, there's no more red templars.

Personally i view its destruction as a waste...It would be much better if it could be harnessed or controlled...

;O See what i did there?

that said its power is immense and its clearly far more powerful then any normal Lyrium could be if its negative effects could be mitigated or even slowed slightly it would be a powerful tool of both the templar order and chantry and humanity as a whole.

No, not at all. This is gonna be weird, but when I see people on here, I just assign them a class in my head based on the way they speak and structure their arguments. I see EmperorSahlertz as a duty bound two handed warrior and Xilizhra as a practical blood mage, Lord Raijin as a mage who is best friends with Adrian, etc. I had just pegged you for a sword and sheild warrior, that's all. Although, I guess, appearances can be deceiving lol.

You have my sympathy for what you unintentionally started here.

For what it's worth, I see you as Obi-Wan Kenobi's younger, non-Force sensitive cousin.

Well, it does whisper and let off a presence that makes those exposed to it worship the substance and eventually go crazy.

How are mages not a part of humanity, ****** them do they not bleed, by trying to remove them from humanity's equation and trying to establish them cursed it is dehumanizing making them  something to belittle and torture and feel no sympathy for.
