Anders could be the Bane from Batman & Robin.

I think even that's too generous Dave.

Though I wonder... who in the DA universe would be Deathstroke? Lambert?

Well, I think Anders got the inane arguments from TDK's Bane right.
"Behind you stand a simbol of opression. You know, the place where we lock up murderers, thieves, rapists, etc. They are the opressed."

"Kirkwall, free your mages because there is not a single person in this city I wouldn't kill to do it. So, you better do it before I start killing people. And then it will be your fault."

I'm just going to wait until Inquisition comes out and see how all of this plays out before I start coming up with ideas on how to bring back / change the system.

Pretty much

I have an idea on what I would do if I had complete control, but since I do not wlIm gonna wait and see what we get.

Well this is little besides speculation and headcannon at the moment, although i personally think i would be slightly disapointed if you cannot brutally put down the rebellion and drag the surviving refuse back to the various circles.

I hope you can. and then the game over cutscenes should roll as the templar and mundanes armies are simply overwhelmed by demons. And then at the  execution of your inquisitor the one that orchestrated the events will mock you for being such an usefull tool for him. By default i cannot support the templars because they are idiots who are likely manipulated,

That's pure lunancy and your usage of the racial slur "Mundane" tells where your own personal alleigance lies.

Let me guess you think an army of soft robes that lack combat expreince and tactical awareness would do better? espeically fighting against opponents that can possess them hrm?

I do believe this is one of those situations where speaking your own opinion merely resulted in the person just ignoring it.

And i could agrue the same for the mages considering Anders was Possessed and Justice very easily could have been taking orders once it become a demon.

:/

Circular logic is a two edged sword.

Their is only one known way to clse fade tears that is through magic. if you say that its a good idea to battle demons for the rest of your live then your nuts. also the some extra information has been released suggesting a mastermind behind it all. have the templars been succesfull stopping this madman? no thats why the inquisition is created in the first place.

No mages can help demons to get hosts by luring templar recruits into possession.

But demon's want the power they had in the Fade while in the Mortal wrold. That's why they go after Mages to posess. Why should they try to posess the magically inferior Templar when they can posess the stupid mages trying to get demons to posess non-mages?

Nope demons seek power but their true reaons to be in the material world is to become more human. so any human is a target to them.

Deathstroke is too awesome to be any other character than himself. So Thedas would have to open a portal in the New 52 and pull Deathstroke into Thedas, at which point Deathstroke would promptly clean house in Thedas and bring order.

He will have an amalgram of Ron Pearlman, Manu Bennett, Michael Hogan, Wentworth Miller, and Mark Rolston (the best Deathstroke actors), which will in part be the reason for why Deathstroke's conquest of Thedas went so easy. Peoples' brains simply imploded from the pure awesome flowing from his mouth.

The Queen is old and frail. Deathstroke would win. That means he is cooler than the Queen, which means Deathstroke doesn't have to take **** from her.

Have you heard the news about Queen Elisabeth II's security caught those ungrateful who touched her food? (should use better words in the search engine, because it found nothing!)

Well, if he/she's taking the example of Deathstroke, he/she has to be able to take down multiple important NPCs.

I can get behind this. Templars, Mages, Chantry... all are irrelevant when Deathstroke emerges.

*contemplates continuing his Teen Titans fanfic soon*

@DKJaigen: And... if they built a machine that closed Fade tears?

If dragons could close Fade tears? (fantastic creatures do not need "magic")

You want to say you need mages.

You can't say that. You don't design dragon age.

If Dagna came up with a lyrium canon that could blast the Fade Tears shut - we would not need mages or magic. Just a fantastic material and a machine. Essentially - they could, if they wanted, turn the genre into "Lyriumpunk"

If Bioware wanted to convert the Templars into Lyrium Knights - and Dagna and her dwarven Artifcers created new anti-magic/anti-demon runes and the new Lyrium Knights specialized in battling demons.... we don't need mages. ((arguably the Templars already serve this function))

Telling people what Bioware intends is just headcanon.

Dragons seem to be a symptom of the veil tears, seeing as they are suddenly reappearing/reawakening across Thedas. And yes, mages must stay. Because they are magic and are cool and stuff.
