I swear some of you can only speak the language known as strawmanning

You sure it's only that?
I think I also detect a strong accent of bulls***ism. With a lot of dellusional overtone.

Anders killed a bunch of Grey Wardens and Templars. Brutally. He turned into a monster and drank their blood.

What are your opinions of Reavers?

I suppose Calenhad Theirin was a monster too.

I can't complain too much about it, as I often use Merrill's short story in my arguments, so *shrug*

According to Anders short story the Wardens betrayed him and was going to turn him over to the Templars. Anders had everyright to slaughter them just as they were going to slaughter him.

So now Anders is a convicted criminal, right? Anders and mages like him never step foot inside of a court room to stand trail for their supposed crimes.

While I generally prefer to imagine that story is non canon, you're actually trying to paint ripping human being's head off with one's hand and drinking the blood spurting out of his headless corpse as not a monstrous thing to be doing?

Well the Grey Wardens themselves have no problem with blood magic

So if they of all people was gonna turn Anders to the Templars, then you know Anders is a failure and terrorist

They were only going to do that to appease the Chantry since they inserted a spy to capture Anders.

Anders wanted to become Hannibal Lecter. What's wrong with that? After a good long fight he became thirsty and wanted something to drink. As far as him eating people... He was only restoring the energy that he wasted by fighting, and he was hungry on top it off.

Anders was an abomination. The Wardens and Templars have every right to hunt him down. By becoming an abomination he betrayed everyone.

I consider the short story canon because it was written by his writer, and I don't really see the point of posting it on the official website if it isn't canon.

He has the right to defend himself at all cost. No he hasn't betrayed everyone else but his own self. Perhabs if people didn't force themselves into his life then perhabs they wouldn't feel betrayed. Anders wants to be left a lone, and for the Chantry to go plow themselves.

I think Anders should accept responsibility for his more reprehensible actions. You can only keep blaming the chantry, the templars, Justice, Hawke so much.

Yet the Wardens did'nt seem to mind Justice possessing Kristoff's body and walking around in it.They only tried to capture Anders because the Chantry inserted a Templar spy to subvert the Grey Warden immunity to their laws and the Wardens wanted to appease them.

That was a joke, you know? :) Anyhow if you read his story carefully you will see that it was vengeance that was ripping off heads and eating peoples bodies. He didn't even know that he had killed them until after he came to.

The reason people consider it non canon is because it's out of character for Anders to behave that way.

Well, by that logic we can just consider the entirety of DA2 non-canon since he acts wildly out of character in that too.

They were going to turn over Anders because Anders was a failure, and had left the Wardens at that time, leaving the Wardens no reason to cover for him. Oh... And they knew he was a goddamn abomination... The Wardens had no desire to keep him.....
