No, he mentions the components that he uses too (a special taper and a black pearl).

Yeah I'm pretty sure he doesn't mention that he uses them, just that it's what the legends says Andraste's disciples used to supposedly become Ash Wraiths. The nature of Ash Wraiths is left ambigious in the lore, it's not clear whther they are truley Andraste's discples become Ash Wraiths or spirits from the Fade.

I am going with a type of Fade Spirit. I looked at the Wiki, particularly the section that lists where you can find Ash Wraiths, and they appear a lot in DA:O.

True. Reavers seem to be much more rare than the traditional blood mage. I mean, did we even really see that many reavers in DA2? I honestly cannot think of any off the top of my head.

DA2 no because it was mostly blood mages and the templars. DAO on the other hand 2 dwarfs and 1 human were confirmed Reavers.

I'm pretty confident that DAO still had way more blood mages than reavers in the game.

The codex on dragon cults and the DAII Reaver specialization blurb.

And blood magic doesn't come solely from making deals with Demons. It can come from that method, but that's by virtue of it being the fastest way possible. No doubt when the Chantry banned blood magic, they round up any and all tomes, papers, and whatever on the subject material and burned them.

Or kept them for safe keeping. Which would be interesting.

Phylacteries are blood magic after all, and unless that was a vestige of the Imperium's days I'd be curious as to how they discovered that one.

Rolan, a former templar, infiltrated the Grey warden ranks to keep a close tap on Anders. He is accused of being an Abomination and then Rolan sicks his comrades (Templars) on Anders indicating that the Wardens agree with the decision. Anders fought and won, and finally left the Grey Wardens for good.

And rightfully so - he has allowed a Fade entitity to posses him.

If the wardens truly did agree it was only because they did not want to start up a war against the Chantry and the Templars. They were far too weak after dealing with the Blight. They were obligated, not because they did not want Anders... they did not want to engage war over 1 Grey Warden.

I don't get why are templars so inclined to hunt Anders that they even sent one of them to the Grey Wardens to keep an eye? He's ordinary mage, why all the fuss? Templars also violate a direct order from Fereldan's king to let him be when conscripted.

That assumes the Red Templars are the only Templars there will be in the game.

My guess? Factional split between fair-minded Templars that chose Lambert's course -- as opposed to fair-minded Templars that stood by Justinia -- and ****** zealots, the latter group being the Red Templars.

Well, when Ser Rylock says she doesn't give a ****** what the crown says and that Chantry authority supercedes the crown...

And you can't really blame him for thinking he's in danger in Kirkwall. Fact is, no one was safe there.
