Destroy is not even free of Reaper influence -- the mass-relays and Citadel are shown being put back together. It's half-assed, if you ask me. Like, "we'll take these gifts they gave us, but other than that... NOOOOO!!!!" Go big or go home, IMO!

Exploiting the goodies they leave behind in their passing is fine with me. :D

I wouldn't even care if the Relays were destroyed or not. No relays would amount to a universe much like the one I already live in now. It doesn't matter a whole lot as for what advances they make on their own or who humanity keeps ties with.. They might just resort to being farmers and growing corn. The only thing I can make matter is the reapers won't be involved. Ultimately everything else is inconsequential. The game series is dead. It's not like I'm going to see an aftermath and any actual result to my choices.

Destroying the relays means destroying the star system they're in. The relays are only damaged but reparable in all high EMS options, but their power sources are intact, otherwise they would've eradicated everything in the vicinity in their demise.

I still managed to get high EMS, but if that's the case with the relays (destroying entire star systems), that sucks then.

I'm sorry I can't see the other options over the piles of dead Reapers I just made.

I'm thinking of having their corpses ground down into goo and used as construction material.

You know, for the irony.

I figured if I go the Synthesis route, I could just restart the games and let Saren shoot me at the end of ME1. It's easier that way.

Saren was not going to achieve Sync, he was going to get the outcome of Refuse!

Also, he looked to the Reapers to give it to him. End of ME3 just uses the Crucible to achieve it.

And you're begging the question: if that it's the same thing as his goal from ME1, what about the visions? Anderson shoots the tube, TIM grabs the rods, why no Saren into the beam?? If you thought of it that way, why didn't Shepard?

Okay. Good for you?

I hate wasted-potential. I'm an all-in kind of a guy.

I either support utilizing their know-how for ourselves, or I don't. I do. Therefore, I take the whole shebang.

Pfft! Letting the cuttlefish give us their knowledge isn't nearly as satisfying as prying it from their cold dead tentacles. *CheesecakeShep seal of approval*

*A look into the history of Cheesecakeprotagonist*

Throne of Bhaal: "Hey man wanna become a god?"
CheesecakeBhaalspawn: Nah I think I'm going to go get me some of dat Drow.

Hordes of the Underdark: "Muahahahahaaa!!! I am an evil badass archdevil!"
CheesecakePC: B*tch please I know your true name!

Kotor1: "Hey wanna rule the galaxy with me?"
CheesecakeRevan: Yeah sure I kind of planned on tapping that anyway.

Like the mighty Honey Badger Cheesecake/protagonist does not care.

I take that up with the writers. They forgot to put Saren there, if you ask me. Instead the representative becomes the Catalyst itself. But it's just regurgitating Saren's lines. "The relationship is symbiotic, organic and machine intertwined, a union of flesh and steel, the strengths of both, the weaknesses of neither!"

Wat.

You might salvage some useful tech, but that's about it.

Their knowledge dead-and-gone in Destroy.

Simple. EA didn't want to pay Microsoft the royalties for the use of Saren's image in that scene. Now I know there are those of you who are going to say Bioware owns the image...

In the Original Ending there was no image for synthesis. It was supposed to be "new and fresh".

Whatever he envisioned doesn't change the fact he wasn't going to achieve it.

Refuse is closer to Saren's path than Sync ever was.

Saren also looked to the Reapers to give it to "achieve" it. Shepard does not, he uses his own device (the Crucible).

I don't think Shep is given much more choice than Saren there. Catalyst (or the writers, if you will) manipulate Synthesis with a key buzzword. "Ideal". It's what the reapers want. Synthesis is explicitly put on a pedestal. I think Saren probably fell for a similar hope. For me, that's enough to cause spite. Screw the ideal. Better to deal with life the hard way.

Even today we can get useful information off (sometimes) positively wrecked computer systems.

You'll forgive me for expecting a little CSI-fu from futureland.

Shepard is the avatar, IMO. As of Project Lazarus, he *is* organic and machine intertwined.

Sync works when we achieve it ourselves. That the Reapers recognize this themselves is merely incidental.

If you want life "the hard way" then go live in a teepee. Everything invented makes life easier. What? Yeah, I didn't think so.

That was ME2, not ME3.

And let me ask you this. Are Hard Drives alive? No. Do many of them have data? Yes. Therefore you can get data and information from dead things. There's a field called forensics. One gets information from dead things. There's also an field called cyberforensics. We could pry knowledge out them. Sorry I win.

"Yeah, I didn't think so"?

You don't have to answer that for me. I'm not quite "naturally living", but I'm not worse off for how much I've slimmed down. I think I could take it or leave it. I don't have a car anymore, don't use a cell phone, don't care about anyone enough to be connected all the time, and if I could manage it, I'd move to Greenland if I could. The only thing daunting to me is the amount of red tape and paperwork/immigration crap. Also, I like shooting a bow more than guns. B)

Shut your mouth profligate Teepee's are awesome!

Working for your success is more meaningful than having it handed to you.

We respect the self made man much more than the wastrel who was lucky enough to be born into wealth for just that reason.

The cuttlefish want to give us our future.

Unfortunately for them I'm standing with ME2 Legion and building it on our own.
