And Destroy isn't Paragon. Paragonss will take stupid risks to save lives right now. Destroy doesn't do that. Destroy is Renegade--end the threat, see the guilty punished.

That makes it sound like Paragons routinely use consequentialist logic. That seems dubious to me.

Didn't you make a thread complaining about how the Destroy ending doesn't fit a renegade shepard?

The epilogue doesn't. Hackett gives the same speech, which becomes jarring as you look out on the wastelands of Tuchanka and Rannoch. The choice itself is more in line with "destroy the heretics."Bill Casey wrote...

The lack of variation leads me to believe that they were really pushing to have control and synthesis be the chosen lot, anything in which the reapers get to survive. That said, I'm curious about these alternate slides. I've never actually watched them.

Paragonism itself is nothing admirable. Without some significant doses of renegade in the mix, your Shepard is just a lawful idiot and a highly unprincipled individual (courtesty the inconsistency of the P/R system itself). Doubly so if Destroy were to be passed as the Paragon choice, because after letting countless dangerous individuals walk free to focus on saving lives immediately, committing genocide to stop the next bad guy is like the ultimate flip-flop. If you're going to embrace your inner Machiavelli at that level, what's the point of refusing to do the same on a much lower scale?
If Destroy is paragon, it's an example of paragonism at it's worst. As renegade, it fits your principle in respectable ways.

Control is more renegade than Destroy...
And Synthesis is the single most deplorable action in the trilogy, including the actions of the reapers...
Bioware told Paragons to go **** themselves...
They want to push Nietzschean garbage...
