errr on second thought...maybe not.  forgive my confusion, but where's all the DLC for ME3 in origin?  thought I'd take the leap of faith, but don't see the DLC prices listed :/

If I'd have to do those bioware points again I'll pass.

:EDIT: when did they start charging for final hours?  wan't that free/patch for short comings?

I would encourage everyone to contact EA for the request of removing Bioware points on DLC and switching to real world currencies. I actually got an E-mail back stating that if enough people actually contacted them requesting this they would look into making it happen.

Bioware points are most likely the main reason Mass Effect DLC does not go on sale so if more people can let EA know that we want this change to happen we may get our wish.

You can get the DLCs for 10 times more than the actual game. :)

Hooray for DLCs!

Origin just expanded it's current sale to include a vast amount of more games and DLC. (Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Need for Speed, Mirror's Edge, Titanfall, Simcity, The Sims, Resident Evil, etc)

If you got Battlefield 3 for free from "On the House" you can pick up the Premium pack for 50% off.

Play Titanfall on PC for Free

It’s Game Time! This is a brand new program on Origin: it’s free time with full games. Origin Game Time isn’t a demo, it’s the full game playable for free for as long as there’s time on your Game Time clock. And we’re kicking off Origin Game Time with a truly massive experience: Titanfall on PC.

This weekend you’ll be able to download Titanfall and play for free for two days straight. We’re launching Origin Game Time for Titanfall across the world over the next several hours, so if you don’t see it available yet in your territory, you will soon. Origin Game Time games will appear on our Free Games page when they’re available to download.

Haven’t felt the thrill of dropping an 18-foot tall metallic beast on your opponent? What about the rush of leaping from wall to wall through the war-torn alleyways of a devastated compound? This is your chance to really see for yourself what Titanfall is all about. Play it for yourself. It won’t cost you a thing.

For Titanfall you’re getting 48 full hours of Pilot/Titan action. It’s the entire game. The Origin Game Time clock begins the moment you start the game for the first time, and ticks down in realtime. Whether you’re fighting your friends or taking a break, the Game Time clock will continue to run.

Love the game after playing during Origin Game Time and want to continue? Your Titanfall progress is saved and you can pick up right where you left off if you purchase Titanfall.

If you already own Titanfall, this weekend is a great time to get back into the game. Origin Game Time will bring new Pilots into the fight – help your teammates or swoop in for some easy points.

Titanfall is only the beginning for Game Time and there’s more on the way. Each Game Time will be unique: different game, different time on the Game Time clock. We’ll keep you posted on Twitter and Facebook (and here!) when your next Origin Game Time game begins.

Origin's... Good Old Games?

I was just checking the Origin Store when I found this:

https://www.origin.c...igital-delights

In case that links directs you somewhere else, I'm looking at titles like Alpha Centauri for $2.99, or every Ultima title I can think of also for $2.99, etc. It's nowhere near GOG in scope, but I was surprised to find those games there.

I just saw Origin has the Wing Commander series ... I can't believe it. Nostalgia flash to the max.

Anyone knows how those games behave on a contemporary PC? What resolution do they support, how's the graphic scaling, controls?

Or you can get them DRM-free on GOG and they're already tested and set up to work on modern OSes.

Afaik the versions Origin is running are the same GOG is selling.

Yes, they are. I fact, there are reports that these are the GOG versions. My thought is why not support the guys who actually did the work to get the game running on modern systems (GOG)? As well, the Origin versions are tied to Origin, whereas the GOG versions are DRM free and can be installed on any PC without a client and without needing an internet connection. And finally, Origin is selling WC 1 and 2 separately for $4.99 each, while GOG has them bundled together for $5.99.

Oh, and GOG is selling the whole shebang (all the WC games) as a bundle for $34.96.

If you're looking for the convenience of having your games all bundled into one client, then by all means grab them from Origin. I'd personally go the GOG route though.

The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection is free for all right now.

If you’re already an Origin member, you can also redeem your code online. Just visit the Origin code redemption page and log in to your Origin Account. Then enter I-LOVE-THE-SIMS in the ‘Product Code’ field.

Titanfall has constantly been on sale since April or May. That can't be good news.

Well it is a new IP going up against the likes of Call of Duty and the soon to be released Destiny (which has a ton of hype going for it) so from that standpoint it would make sense to try to broaden it's market share anyway you can.

I have tried Titanfall and the hype it had was undeserved. The idea is good enough, but it's nothing else but a hyperaction twitch shooter with horrible gunplay and a lot of server issues. Not worth paying more than 25 bucks for imho.

I might be interested in picking it up again if they make it like CS:GO and let me play offline against bots and/or other players.

Given how Respawn's stance on singleplayer is ("antiquated relic"), I do not see that happening, ever.

Not a sale but Origin is having a "Game Time" event

Battlefield 4 - 7 days of game Time

Kingdoms of Amalur - 48 Hours Game time

Essentially think of it as a free trial period to try the game, your Game time doesn't start until you play the game for the first time (so download time doesn't count into it)
