An interesting and very plausible theory. I certainly wouldn't mind playing a Nevarran.
Indeed. That said, I'd much rather have the protagonist be from the Anderfels or Tevinter than any other nation.

I like the dark hair and darker skin tone they seem to have.
Same.
OP, While I would like to be Nevarran, I wouldn't want to be related to Cassandra.
I want to romance her with at least one of my Inquisitors if she is a companion.

What's the law on incest in Thedas? If Cassandra is a second or third cousin, I don't think it will be much of a big deal. Then again I was all for a Bethany romance in Dragon Age 2.

I'm fine with the PC being nevarran but not with him being related to Cassandra.
You already took Bethany, don't do this to us again, Bioware. Just let us romance Cassandra.
Wait what Cassandra is 40-50 years old? When did this happen...? I thought she was around her mid or late 30's.Dark Korsar wrote...

remember that she is 40-50 year old women with Templar/Seeker raised character and she have scars on her face and body....this is the same as romance with KC Meredith

Yeah I think it could be Nevarra or Tevinter. Would be a change from just being Feralden.
On a side note, does anyone else think it is strange that the guard for the sword is attached to the scabbard and not the hilt?TexasToast712 wrote...

Uh... Don't Nevarrans have German accents? Or whatever Cassandra has? I'd rather be Orlesian in that case.
It sounded German to me too. We had a foreign exchange student when I was in high school who lived with us that was from Saxony. Cassandra sounds a LOT like her. Glad someone else heard it -- everyone I've mentioned it to up till now acted like I was crazy.
@ OP - the lore does suggest that there are a lot of Pentaghasts running around, so I think you might be on to something. But mostly because it would be a cool way to start out with a realistic level of expertise, connections, and reason to end up starting on a mission (plus easy last name for NPC's to call us, if we can expect that to happen again). The dragon thing is... maybe not the most reliable clue since we see dragon stuff everywhere in the games, and it was a marketing shot for "Dragon Age."
You are likely correct, PCK. Gaider said; and TWOT confirms it; that "Dawn of the Seeker" happens in 9:22 Dragon and that Cassandra was considered " young" then. Altough we can't tell for sure how old she was at the time, I'd wager she was, at utmost, in her early twenties. Probrably even younger considering children were expected to take responsabilities a lot sooner in medieval times but let's say twenty.iPoohCupCakes wrote...

The World of Thedas places her interrogation of Varric at 9:40 Dragon making her around 38 at the time. A year or two could have passed between DA2's ending and DAI's beginning but she shouldn't be much older than 39-40 years old.
Which, as far as I'm concerned, makes her all the more attractive.
Also, Meredith was HOT!
