Spec her for full reave damage and grab a Lancer with warp rounds. You will be an unstoppable killing machine.

Also, I have Reaved praetorians through their bubble and they took damage from it. I was hosting, so not sure if that affected it or not.

I agree with the tech overwrites being a big problem. Biotics should detonate any biotic primes present when they hit and only detonate tech primes if there is no biotic prime present. The issue was just exacerbated when they made incendiary ammo set up explosions as well...

Tech primes don't "overwrite" Biotic ones, as that would imply that the original power ceases to take effect. Usually, you have to hit the target with a second detonator, then receive the Biotic Explosion, assuming that original prime hasn't timed out, that is.

There may be factors I'm unware of, but using my HSent, I pretty regulary have to double or triple up on my Throw to get around my team-mates' tech Primers. The BE happens in the end, most of the time, in addition to the Tech 'Splosions.

Yes you are correct, that is how it works. "Overwrite" is still an appropriate term however as the tech primer is "on top of" the biotic primer and must be detonated first. This is more problematic for some kits than others. With throw, sure tossing 2-3 to get your BE is not big deal, but on say the Krogan Shaman, it is a much bigger problem because shockwave has a much longer cooldown.

For #6 I doubt it because the thing that usually bugs out damage is multiplier evolutions like pierce in warp and armor damage in incinerate.

Kinda thinking of reworking my Drell Adept into a reaver. To just try what it does. But yah the stacks kill Banshees and bosses really fast.

 

Not really. DA is better with 40% DR and Reave/Cluster bombing. 

AJ can afford to take more powerful Reave. because she has more shields


On the flipside, exactly because she has more shields she benefits more from the DR.

Dunno, just thought it was worth a question cuz I use Cryo ammo with a reaver set up to not get shot all the bloody time by trash mobs so if it had more use than just CC it's be just fabulous.


And cryo ammo + pull is one of the most fun combos... floating ice sculptures!

Mess around with chain throws and potentially kill the thing at some point or shoot the thing in the head and kill it instantly?

I think I'll stick to shooting things.

Most biotic powers suck when it comes to dealing direct or damage over time. Biotic grenades of course are an exception. Extra care must be taken when dealing with a faction that has shields instead of barriers, because biotics generally do significantly less damage against shields than they do against barriers and armor.

In case of reave, it's always better to spec it for utility rather than damage because you'll deal a lot more damage with weapons and biotic explosions than you ever do with reave alone. Sure it can kill unshielded mook by itself, which is fine I guess if you play bronze or silver.

So this is why I was having so much trouble with my Justicar challenge + I'm not the only one.

Will try out that cryo ammo thingy, since I too feel like I need better stagger moves with here too to prevent getting shoot all the feaking time. Reave, throw, & bubble stagger window seems way too short or somthing else is wrong? Even with throws uber fast cooldown, feels like I need to cast it every second, but then if I have more then 1 enemy... fudge it, I run like a be otch.


... back to that Justicar challenge thingy... man, this is too much challenge for me at the moment... me no like. >_<;;

You can do it! I know it's like a thorn in your side when you get stuck at something. I've tried certain solos over 10-20 times before. Keep on truckin! Also, beer helps i've been told.

She can afford to get hit with 990 barreirs and 25% DR, while Drell can't.

Shockwave can have as low as 2.22 'natural' cooldown on krogan adept, know cause I was reegar krobinin last night with warpindiary ammo. Also on AJ she can detonate (all?) powers with bubble on cast then detonate again with a biotic explosion after with her own reave. There is no overwriting powers. And every single biotic character in the game has a way to detonate biotics, and faily quickly as long as rediculous weapons aren't equipped. I frequently do triple explosions on my Human Adept with incendiary ammo equipped

Shoot prime (teamate can explode)
Singularity~warp ~ BE
shoot~warp~FE or w/e overwrites
Singularity detonates causing another biotic explosion.

This takes place all with the shortest recharge timmers.

910 damage to barriers and 1213 to barriers per second begs to differ. Even though these #s don't come correct from 'eyeballed' math, in game my dark channel will drop a fully health newly spawned banshee on gold before it wears.

The other one, for the DR. Max reave DR plus the DR from light melee or dodge actually results in a tangible effect.

Also, one nice thing about reave as a detonator is that it's biotics only, so it ignores any tech primers that are overlaying a biotic primer.
