Doesn't matter, I'll buy DA:I solely for multiplayer.

well not to offend anyone, but bioware are known for their writing and storytelling in single player RPGs.so..dont hold your breath that multiplayer will get their entire focus.if anything it will be closer to phantasy star universe than the old republic.

Since ME2, there storytelling powers started to vanish. I still can't finish DA2.

well..like i posted in another forum(so many of them i cant remember each one),i prefer action based RPGs to PC type RPGs.especially on a console i dont wont to methodically plan out each move until i wanna tear my eyes out.just let me kill something and move on.i play more for the characters and story than the combat anyway.so yeah..

Metacritic is about as honest as Fox news.

if you put your faith in others opinions BEFORE you actually play the game yourself, then your problems run deeper than being dissapointed in a game.metacritic is trash as are most review sites.if it hurts you that much thatDA2 was bad, just wait until people start trading in copies and buy it when the price drops.

Even at their worst moments, like DA2 and ME3, Bioware still produces better games than most on the market and perhaps more importantly, some of the only WRPGs on the market. They have yet to release a game I haven't enjoyed at the end of the day, so I'll probably be preordering.

I see it this way... I no longer look for any info on Bioware games I love (ME, DA, others) except for release dates. That way when I play, I have not had my hopes built up by all the BS hype that goes around. And then I am not as unhappy with the games when I play them. I trust Bioware enough to make a game I will enjoy playing to an extent. Just as long as they don't go turning it into a fps version of duck hunt with dragons then I will buy it.

I do enjoy games they make. I just don't torture myself by buying into all the BS hype anymore.

No I will buy it but I afraid the multiplayer aspect will ruin it. I DO NOT want another MMORPG.

How do you figure that the multiplayer aspect of an otherwise single-player game makes an MMORPG?

I apologize I should have been more clear. I wasn't assuming that DA:I will be that. It was really just a comment. I am afraid however that the multi player will ruin it for me. I don't like multiplayer games especially when the story has always been single player oriented. As long as the single player campaign is not affected I will be okay with it.

I won't preorder but I am unsure if I will purchase at full price or not.

My problem with Bioware is mostly due to the company's treatment of customers during the whole ME3 debacle and the attitude following the release of DA2. I don't want to reward poor customer service.
I really dislike condescension and I saw it then and from other company people here on the forums. This treatment has improved on the forums though so maybe lesson learned?

Also- even though I disliked much about DA2 and ME3 compared to their previous games I still finished them and enjoyed myself and have at least started new playthroughs multiple times. I can't say that about any other franchise except The Witcher series.

So I will probably wait until Angry Joe's review. Maybe Total Biscuit's too. (Just to listen to him talk, lol!)

I won't be getting this until I purchase the Xbox one and that's going to be way down the line, like three to four years after the Xbox one release date. I'm going Ps4 first this gen (I would like to continue playing DA on the system I started on), so by time I actually get this game and the Xbox one, reviews for this DA: I will be plentiful and I'll look at some of them.

This is an odd way to anwser to my previous post. I just stated that storylines began to degrade.

Because pre-ordering ME3 (Collectors Edition) was one of the stupidest businesses and logical decision I have made in my life, heck, yes, I am going to wait for gamers’ reviews before buying DA3 at full price! However, considering it’s a different team from ME3, I am more optimistic about the game and actually looking forward to it.

And also, lol (from the official site): Explore a vast, fantasy world at the brink of catastrophe in Dragon Age™: Inquisition, a next-generation action RPG, where your choices shape and drive the experience.
Does anyone there still believe this? Anyone? :)

I didn't really have problems with DA2, to be honest. I played it after I did ME3. Because of that, the ending of DA2 was logical, epic and super-happy. :P

My reaction to DA2 and ME3 (both profoundly negative) has definitely led me to being a better consumer. I will be very unlikely to ever pre-order any game ever again, nor assume that because a gaming company has previously produced games I enjoyed (DA:O, ME1, ME2) means they are guaranteed to continue doing so.

Still you have to be as discerning interpreting user reviews as well as professional ones. Decide what your criterea are for what you want in a game and make your decision based on reviewers that match those. IE, if you love story, you are not going to base your decision on someone who only wants a non-stop steam of fighting.

Going by majority thumbs up or thumbs down wouldn't work for me as I have enjoyed many things that were generally unpopular -- I enjoyed the entire Matrix Trilogy, I actually enjoyed the prequel Star Wars movies as much (sacrilege - in some ways more!) as the original series, and I am still subscribed to and enjoying SWTOR.

Tangentially speaking, I am encouraged that the release date is so far off. I am somewhat encouraged too by the release of Citadel DLC for ME3, as that was truer to the feel of the ME series than anything else from ME3, though only in my opinion. On the mixed front is this interview http://www.oxm.co.uk...r-future-games/  where the ME team seem to indicate there were lessons to be learned, yet only admit to some rather minor (though admittedly valid!) points -- and seem to miss what was really behind the ending debacle.

Seriously replayed DA2's ending after ME3 and suddenly it's just fine.

It's true. Seeing how bad it can get makes you appreciate even mediocrity.

I'll be pre-ordering it. I liked DA2. I can play a game and draw my own conclusions. Everyone elses likes and dislikes may differ from my own.

So, no, I won't be waiting for others to review it for me.

I'll see soon enough.  I'm doing my "fifth" run of DA:O, and that'll port to my fourth run of DA2.  We'll see how I feel about DA2 after having gone through 3 plays of ME3 ending (granted, only once pre-all DLC.)

The same for me. But only with DAII. You should have seen how I was before this game. I was a ridiculous blind fanboy praising Bioware as if it was god, criticizing anyone critizing Bioware...  What was wrong with me ? ( To be honest, I did begin to open my eyes just before the release of this game with revelations on some subjects like "customization" which really worried me. But I had no idea  I would see such a result overall. )

I am a better fan and a better consumer now.

I loved me3 i was one of the people who moaned about the original ending. But what i think people forget is bioware listened to there fans and gave us the extended cut for free. I think they should be awarded for this and the citadel dlc was the most fun 5hs i have ever hand in a game it was proper fan service! IM 100% gonna preorder and buy day one. There's something very special about bioware games

Waiting for reviews is perfectly sensible. But I think I'll decide after we find out more about the game. If it seems iffy I'll probably wait.
