So, on the main webpage the guy holding the helm is wearing a bunch of rings (these rings are very clearly visable at the bottom of the webpage.)  I was trying to decipher what all of these rings are.  From what I can tell, there is a Seeker ring, Templar ring, and Mage circle ring.  And then there is a mysterious red ring.  Could that red ring be red lyrium?  And if it is, could this be a sign that the Chantry becomes corrupted at some point?  After all, we've seen what effects red lyrium has on people... the Chantry itself could become a major agent of chaos should they be involved with that stuff.  Has anyone else had any thoughts about this?

There's actually a fifth ring, on the thumb, but as it is turned away from us, it is not possible to see what it is.

I'm hoping it has some sort of connection to Tevinter.

Hopefully, it won't be red lyrium.

Blood red ring for the blood mages, so there would be two mage (Bloodmages and Circle Mages) factions and two (new Templars & Seeker)  Templar factions with the fifth ring being the Grey Wardens with both mages and non-mages in their ranks.

That could solve the mage-templar war, recruit all of them into the Grey Wardens and start again with the next generation of Mages and Templars. Image IPB

I really dislike the notion that every non-circle mage must be a blood mage. So far that has not been true, and I hope it will continue to be untrue.

A blood mage faction? A group of three-dimensional mages who use blood magic could be interesting.

If it's lyrium, wouldn't that suggest dwarves as well? That's were the last lyrium ring was found after all. So it could mean Kal Sharok too.

It's been suggested that the red ring represents Tevinter due to the ring having a sun on it, which is a symbol of the Imperium.

It makes sense in a way if you are on the run from a group of anti-mage military types who can nullify your usual abilities but cannot nullify blood magic most mages are going to turn to blood magic to survive.

I doubt they will be called just bloodmages, maybe the blood red ring will be a symbol of their willingness to use blood magic while the Circle Mages are set against using it.

Yes, but wearing it gives you a +10 to your Bluff checks.

Tevinter-related, hopefully.
