Do people still PUG for gold games on PC?  Tried to join random Gold game this Saturday morning but waited a while and didn't find any.  Silver games are plentiful though.

eta just to be clear, never had to wait for more than a minute or two to find a lobby. To find a decent one, thats another story

We take a 4th random person fairly frequently, if that counts.

I don't make lobbies. I join them. If there is any 4th guy missing and it takes a bit long, I ready up. Usually, if the match starts, the 4th slot gets filled up.

Maybe you had temporary connectivity issues when you searched for gold games?
I pugged gold all day today, and had no shortage of lobbies to join.

gold pug lobbies don't exist, ongoing matches with just a host have devoured pugging.

This is one of the reasons I host my games.
And it's also one of the reasons I don't like hosting - games in progress get priority over lobbies.

I noticed I wasn't finding any games yesterday morning and no one joined when I opened a lobby. I'm guessing connectivity issues, though.

Ever since Origin updated last week, it has been a bit off for me, as far as getting into matches for Gold, Silver and Bronze (I don't play Platinum).

Also, having real problems joining a private match with folks on my FL or them joining my lobby. It's not everyone, just some folks.

Apparently this is an on going Origin issue since the last update (according to the EA Answer HQ). I'm guessing it won't be fixed until they post another update. I have not played today, so maybe they've already patched Origin/EA servers on their end, but no update that I can see on our end.

tl;dr: Stinkin' Origin.

This might be true, I'll try again later today.  I was getting a fair bit fo disconnect when playing silver also.

I usually just start a gold game alone and by the 3rd wave the game is usually full.

last night i clicked quick game 5 times before finding one.
but like capn, we most of the time pick one or even 2 randoms in our games.
the player base is smaller for sure, but there are still plenty enough. Our lobbies fill pretty fast.

It's pretty difficult sometimes. Also I dont accept getting dropped in game, I always quit and resume my search.
