Once on Sur'kesh, once in the med bay, and once in the Shroud.

That is it.

Hey man, it's just like how Anderson spams Shepard with how he was born in London...

twice.

"I was born in London."

*Awkward silence.*

"Really?"

Oh and this gem;

Kai Lame: You're slow Shepard!
Shepard: I'm only slow because I'm not running!

What are you two, seven year olds?

Also, the whole convo with Joker about Thessia. Makes both look like total dicks.

How does this apply to both? Unless I missed something, Shepard is pretty much written to disapprove regardless of the response you pick.

The best part is when Kai Leng shouts "SHUT UP!" I just keep spamming him with biotic charge and shotgun. If you kill him quickly enough, you can still hear him yelling lol.

Also Miranda in ME3- It's about my sister. Again?

This was the creative team running out of steam. Either that or they should have saved 'saving the sister' till ME3 and not brought it up in ME2.

Miranda felt so bland. Her constant repetition of 'genetically perfect' in nearly every dialog just began to sound like a droning sound.

He also turns his head and watches Shepard from the floor when she leaves the room after she talks to the Prothean VI

Or simply put the sister plot to rest and simply have Miranda be your ex-Cerberus asset for the rest of the game, either as a source of intel or simply return to the Normandy. I'd happily trade Miranda for Allers any day of the week.

Humbug! Maybe James (who I actually like), but only Allers, and no one else.

There were SO MANY awkward silences in this game with dialogue. So many, that I am thoroughly convinced that it's simply awful sound editing....which just reinforces my long-standing claim that the game was rushed and lacked the polish it needed before release.

I dunno if anyone else got this, but when I first did a non-import play of ME3, and talked to Jacob in the hospital, the "congratulations" you give him when he announces that Bryn is pregnant is the same one you give to Bailey when he tells you that he's commander now.

To be fair though, dialogue timing is pretty bad in most games. For some reason, it seems tough to always get it straigt with the animations and everything. The ME series is actualy one of the better examples when it comes to this (which it should be, given its focus on cinematic presentation). Nobody is perfect though.

Also, I have seen Mark Meer's "STEEEEEVE!!!" seen here often. Just whatch any of MM's interviews concerning ME3 to hear the story behind that line, it's kinda funny.

As for cringe worthy lines, there are heaps of them. Let's stick to one example from each game that has not yet been mentioned (unless I missed it):
ME1: Turian Councilor: "This evidence is irrefutable." (uh ... ok thanks but ... why?)
ME2: Jacob (to Tali, after a rather hostile first meeting): "Oh and don't forget to introduce yourself to EDI, the ship's artificial intelligence." (this one needs a head slap renegade interrupt)
ME3: "So ... the Illusive Man was right after all..."
ok, at least for that one, I think we got a renegade option in the EC, so here is another from the EC:
Shepard "Normandy, I need an evac, now!" (really Shep, NOW you need an evac? What about the countless times your squad mates (including the LI) went down in combat? And NOW, that everything is on the line, you want to stop the absolutely mad rush for the beam and call in the ship for an evac?)

---- while trying to nail Saren.
Anderson: "There is still one outstanding issue. Commander Shepard's vision. It may have been triggered by the beacon."

ME2:
Shepard: "Hey, this shop discriminates against the poor."

ME3:

"Releasing the energy of the crucible will destroy the mass relays."

"Thanix missiles"

I find it rather irritating that I've seen dozens of posters proclaming Thanix cannons as the miracle solution to kill all the Reapers (and the mass production of Thanix cannons as a brilliantly simple and insightful strategy instead of a groan inducing blunder a toddler could come up with) , but yet most members of the BSN react to the Thanix missiles like this.

4 times:ph34r:

Thanix cannon is essentially the collector ship beam/reaper beam, so it does do a ****ton of damage, but the missiles part was way outta the blue. Plus given the mission, it felt like a complete ass pull that ignored what we knew of thanix tech up until then.

Also, I forgot all about Jacob. GOD they made him even worse. Every scene of dialogue with him outside of Citadel and the conversation in the med bay felt awkward as ****. I wish he had more... blackness in him? At least make him a brutha that can add some flavor into MEU. I guess that was put aside because people would patronize blacks and claim its offensive to us to have a black man be like an average young African American (read: NOT a hoodlum). I rather liked him in ME2, just wish he had some edge... even Kaidan flips **** after Sanctuary.

Thanix cannons are never stated for safe use within a planets surface and without mass effect fields to lesson the kinetic blowback and most of the components of a ships weapon systems you'd need to operate such a weapon, let alone power it to accelerate the glob of molten metals to a sufficient degree that it would act like a soild object upon launch and impact.

What?
Exactly same amount of energy, that needed to accelerate slug of the same mass(which is also altered by ME field).

Thanix missles could very well be a means to fire thanix style weaponry without the need for a full ships generators, engine, and drive core to stabilize the whole thing, inside a nicely contained package.

Acceleration given to an object, for ME kinetic weaponry, depends on the length of the barrel. Electromagnetic repulsion and attraction you know.
And thus, unless there were a serious breakthrough in that field, there is no way that "Thanix missile" could even reach impact energy of even standart Mako gun, not spaceship grade. And even if there were a breakthrough - this only means that standart guns of spaceship will be more effective, still overpowering that "Thanix missile" by orders of magnitude.

"Thanix missile" is just a lore-butchering nonsense, another asspull for nonsensical drama.

"So the Illusive Man was right..."

Shepard you idiot! You just got TIM to commit suicide ala Saren because he WASN'T right! Now because the Reaper leader "says" it is ok to control the Reapers by grabbing the sparking electrodes, that suddenly undoes the reasoning?!

Oh, God. Help. Anyone Shepard saying this simply does not get it. This is not about your political values, this is about life and death. 'Did everything you could? YOU DIDN'T DO ISH MOTHER----ER! You abandoned the Crucible at the 11th hour because you didn't like the flavors. Your feels mattered more to you than everyone else's life. And no, you idiot, you don't die free. Unless you die in a horrifically irrecoverable manner (like throwing yourself into an incinerator or a vat of acid) you're going to be taken, dead or alive, you're becoming a minion to the very thing you detested. Criminy.

That line was said by the biggest self-centered Shepard ever! Watched that on youtube and I think I suffered an aneurysm as I yelled at the screen, "Everything? You walked! Instead of making a choice after all the blood, sweat and tears that got your sorry butt there ... you walked! You walked over the bodies that will now die in vain because they trusted the wrong person. You self-centered, morally masturb... Image IPB, piece of crap!"

Cut to Liara saying how the Catalyst failed and I screamed again, "Not the Catalyst! Shepard! Stupid, mother$%^%^& boots-are-made-for-walking Shepard! Miss Death is Prefereable Shepard!"

*counts slowly to ten* okay, I'm better now. Image IPB

ME2: the Horizon mission in general. Why didn't the Normandy blast the Collector ship while it was landed. The Normandy had its Thanix cannon upgrade. The Normandy had its new armor. The Collector ship was a sitting duck.

Hence every line spoken groundside was a facepalm.

Shepard: EDI get the defense towers online. <_<

Why not this before landing...

Shepard: EDI get a fix on the Collector ship. Joker, bring the Normandy about and hit the Collector ship with the main gun. :)

It could be possible the Normandy did not have those upgrades at the time.

Unsurprisingly, the eye-rollers are all Shepard's lines:

"This isn't about strategy or tactics"

"The Citadel? The fight's here"

And fail!Shep's tirade in the Refuse ending, that may be the worst of all. What a self-centered assh*ole.

Also Hackett telling Shepard that the design for the Crucible are surprisingly simple.
Then why the hell don't you dumbasses know how it friggin' works??
