If we could fight hostile bannermen from other nations, that would be great. Fighting Orlesian Chevaliers, Tevinter Mages, Nevarran Hunters, Ferelden Ash Warriors. If all hostile enemy types looked and varied drastically, it would create such a sense of diversity in the world of Dragon Age Inquisition!

Yeah, even if they just look different varied looks in regular enemies can go a long way.

I remember playing ME3 and getting tried of killing the same Cerberus/Husks and no one else.

And I'd like for the regular enemies not to have masks on, they don't need to cover their faces, I'm not going to feel bad.

True, true. I'm a hypocrite, at best.

Despair is a good possibility for new demons because it doesn't fall under the five categories (rage, hunger, sloth, desire, pride). Maaaaaaaaaaybe sloth, but it's a bit of a stretch.

While I welcome any new type of demon, I'd prefer to see more "normal" types of enemies. New animals like lions and turtles (you could have to get it belly-up to kill it :D ) or more fantastical, original creatures like the wyverns or ghasts in MotA.

Dragon Age could certainly use more original creature concepts that differentiate it from other fantasy settings. Killing wolves and bears gets old after a while.

I'm surprised I didn't think of this earlier. How about Blighted Wyverns? They could spit Darkspawn blood, making them an incredibly deadly opponent.

I request a super tough battle against a Somniari. I was so disappointed that we didn't get to see one in action in DA2.

That's what Feynriel was. A mage who can enter other people's dreams. Supposedly one of the most powerful mages you can encounter.

Not a new enemy, but I would LOVE to see an updated Child of the Mother, Especially if their 'evolution' on the battlefield kept going.....

Think about it; you kill an ogre and then turn around to deal with some genlocks. But after dispatching them you see that a grub has found your dead ogre and is now just as big as it. Not to mention a grub getting their little needle mouths on a blighted dragon, or wyvern *shudders*

I really like to see mechanical robotic enemy, that have steam gas coming out from it's body, having canon at it's shoulder, fearsome devilish mechanical face, either walk with two legs or tank like, created in some underground ancient ruin by long lost race as a secret project, powered by red lyrium with demon trapped inside it

A Golem basically.

I don't know if "fighting" a Somniari would really be much of a boss battle.  It'd probably end up being more like the DA:O fade segment.

Oh, and if any devs are looking to upgrade the 'creepy' factor on these little guys I would recommend these:

As we all know, demons are classified into a hierarchy that usually determines their power. But what you might not know is that demons don't have to abide by this hierarchy. A rage demon can focus on retribution, which is more powerful and complex motivation than simple anger, while a desire demon focused on lust will be less powerful.

Perhaps we can encounter sub-classes of demons, or ones that simply feed off a specific emotion, giving them a kind of individuality. Take Hybris for example; he feeds off hubris, which is extreme haughtiness. This makes him much more powerful than a normal Pride Demon.
