He never actually said we would get one when you told him you would like one after crowning the new king he said he would thank about it. But I thank he lied just to get you to leave.

Oh, so he's just humoring you. That makes sense.

A statue is for those who are not humble. A true hero would not desire one

If Loghain does the US, he deserves a statue because he redeemed himself. If he hadn't helped Maric, Ferelden would still be under Orlais's heel. He was wrong, yes, but he isn't just some "villian".
If Alistair dies, he deserves a statue.
A dead Warden deserves a statue.
If it wasn't for Riordan, the final fight would have been MUCH harder.

And yea, the Warden did a great deal but then sacrifices a child in order to continue living. How can you accept a statue when you potentially unleashed hellspawn into the world? xD That statue should be at Vigil's Keep, if anything. You took something honorable, dying for a worthy cause, and made it cheap.

According to Morrigan, child supposed to be innocent.
At least, if  we believe her, of course.

That's just mean calling The Warden and Morrigan Love child a hell spawn.

I wouldn't mind a statue of the Hero of Ferelden in Denerim - I'm sure having a statue of an elven hero would be a nice touch. My Surana Warden already has a statue of his likeness in Orzammar, courtesy of his political ally King Bhelen.

When did Bhelen say we get a statute?

Your Warden can ask Harrowmont or Bhelen for a statute after the Assembly elects a King, based on who you give the Crown to. And since Bhelen does personally recommend your Warden to the Dace family for the expedition in Golems of Amgarrak, it seems as though they are on good terms.

Lol. ;_; I don't believe Morrigan because Flemeth is her mother. There's something shady going on. Of course, that's just speculation.. Then, even if the child is innocent, it has potential to become warped like any other human(/elf or whatever) and who knows what it will be capable of. And youuuuu unleashed that because youuuu didn't want to die. 0=<

Considering that Bhelen sends a few dwarves to Vigil's Keep (on the surface), and recommends The Warden to Jerrik Dace for his expedition, I don't really see it in those terms.

I suppose it's another issue you and I can disagree on. ^_^

I'd like a statue, even one like DA2, where it's maybe just supposed to be inspirational, a vague notion of a great a mighty hero with no real features. Though, for my Casteless Dwarf playthrough, I wanna see my Paragon statue up close. And give the middle finger to the proving master.

Only if I can edit how the statue looks.

Make it a statute with designs that match what he looked like in origins for the specific imported warden. Sure the graphics are different now but statutes weren't perfect replicas.

There should be a statue of the Hero of Ferelden Denerim...if the imported Warden was a Warrior, have the statue of him/her in the sword and shield attack pose and for the mages, have the warden in a spell cast animation and for the rouge, have the warden in a dual wield attack animation.

eyesheild21 wrote...

...depending on
the class The warden should be shown in full attire either heavy, light
or mage warden armor

I guess now would be a bad time to mention my sword/shield rogue that wore heavy armour*, my dual wield warrior that wore light armour and my Arcane Warrior mage who worse heavy armour and used a sword rather than a staff...

*It was a playthrough where I made every character play out of their class. Wynne toting a two-handed sword was a highlight.

Oh, I don't know. I think some Wardens might prefer trees to be planted in their name, or have a nice new library with a shiny dedication plaque build somewhere.

Those Wardens suck then.

Cool Wardens want statues built to the skys with their names plasted all over it because they were the ****ing man and everyone should know it.

I'd rather have a portrait hanging somewhere prominent in Denerim's palace. Less chance of being pooped on by birds.

If I recall, after successfuly saving the world and bringing peace to Thedas, my warden asked for an all-out mage/templar/demon/chantry war.

Wait. Wait, no he didn't.

I don't think he dislikes you - I just don't see it to be in-character for Bhelen to let you control the narrative like that. He seems to like his supporters in the shadows, with him as the focal point.

Prince Bhelen's right-hand, Vartag Gavorn, was working from the shadows because he was engaging in some underhanded activity to wrest the throne from Harrowmont. King Bhelen even sends Vartag to the funeral of the Hero of Ferelden if he commits the Ultimate Sacrifice in defeating the Archdemon.

Again, I don't see it in the same terms as you.

You think a statue-erection commitee is gonna care about that?

I thought the Champion vs. the Arishok statue in DA2 was an absolutely perfect characterization of Kirkwall's likely reaction to that whole debacle.  No respect for a complex situation and a bunch of horrific and unnecessary destruction.  NOOOO let's put up a huge gaudy statue of WHITE KNIGHT STOMPS DA FOREIGNER!

If it was actually a statue of my Hawke, I probably would have been seriously offended that there was no option to DEMAND it be torn down.  Since it was a statue of Mr. Generic Sword Dude, I could regard it with some detachment.

I will totally love it if they put in a moment or two where people try to "celebrate" your DA:I protagonist for various things, though--the uglier the better, and the uglier your potential reaction, the better.

Only if your Warden did the US. If you took the final blow to the Archdemon and lived, you cheated yourself out of being a martyr and your boon is all you deserve. Riordan deserves a statue. =D Or after your Warden goes for their Calling, they get a statue. If Alistair/Loghain did the US, they deserve a statue.

There should be a statue of Riordan with a throwaway line about how in the confusion everyone assumed he's the one who did the ultimate sacrifice. That would be perfect. I was kind of sad that he just sort of got forgotten and the end of Origins was all about your character having a feast and a parade.

For your next trick, put Sten in a bathrobe and make him use that Butterfly gag sword from the feastday DLC.

But when your statue comes to life, it can go on a crusade against the birds alongside Shale!
