now i thought about it long and hard , i was thinking which class i wanted too play as and thought if i would have fun with them or not Archers are fun there scattershots can be very deadly believe me i had alot of fun using that with Leliana but its too much of the samething even though they can give your party some huge buffs theres no real action too it. Shield Warriors are also alot of fun they lack power but they have wonderful Defence and thats what i love about them i would have picked this one but i already recently did a Shield Warrior playthrough. Mages oh man how i flip flop on this one , magic always seems like its gonna be the most fun thing to do but playing on nightmare you hurt your own party by doing some of the big spells which sucks and another thing i hate being overpowered and if build right they can be godly.

so whatelse is there well its been too long but the first class i beat the game with the Assassin Rogue now this guy was alot of fun i strike my enemies in the back , i unlock chests i set traps and my tank always uses Taunt getting the heat off me lol . its been years since i've played as a Rogue well the Assassin sort i was a City Elf when i first been a Rogue and it matched up perfectly now i wanna do a Rogue playthrough again but what other Rogue Origins are there? can someone help me on that one . .

((Sorry for the long book you had too read didn't mean for it too be that long :pinched: ))

5 of the 6 origins can be used for either warrior or rogue

The dwarf commoner has a very "rogue"ish feel (i.e. you are working for criminals) of course that is in story terms rather than gameplay terms.
the Dalish elf is also a natural for rogues (a stealthy woodland archer perhaps?)

i was thinking about the dwarf commoner i never really touched that origin yet , so thats more of a rogue "ish" origin alright :D

If you want to play a blender o' death, dual wielder is the way to go. Both the dwarf commoner and city elf are natural fits for having two very fast knives. Dwarf commoner also has a great story (Hint: take Morrigan with you when you visit your mother in Orzammar). If the city elf is the angry bride, then the DC has potentially the best upside in the entire game.

Play the Human Noble, you then have an actual reason to hate Howe later on as well.

I am playing a dwarf commoner rogue now. My first Dwarf game! Why did I wait so long??? If you have not played it yet, I would highly recommend doing so!

Dwarven Commoner is SUCH a good Origin. Like oh my god. People always gloss over it and pick something else, but it is definitely the hidden gem of the origins.

--------------SPOILERS------------

I felt like my origin mattered a LOT during the various quests in Orzammar. So many "LOOK AT ME NOW" moments alol. I did the ultimate sacrifice on my dwarven commoner girl, and when my sister spoke at my funeral, I literally couldn't stop crying. and I never cry at games. It was so crazy and all I can say is Dwarven Commoner is the best Origin in the game and you must play it ASAP.

I must have totally missed that. :-( More incentive to play my Duster over...

DC and CE are the only Origins that lend themselves to roguery storywise, though I'd recommend DC's anyway. The DE is less of a rogue and more of a Dalish warrior (living in the forest mastering lockpicking and pickpocketing?), even a warrior archer, but I'm still playing my DE as a rogue archer. DN and HN lend themselves to warrior types storywise, though they also have way too many locked doors and pickpocketable NPCs to never play a rogue there. Even the Tower mage Origin can get some fun pickpocketing in on a group that totally doesn't expect it.

If you want to try something different with a rogue go for poisons/ grenades, traps/ lures, or pickpocketing to the max. Grenades especially are fun to make and use and can make a big difference in crowds once you've maxed the line and use stuff like frost or lightning bombs, traps I've never tried, and 4 pts in PP allows you to loot enemies during combat. My canon DC rogue went the grenade and PP route and would always open her dwarven backstabs with a loot attempt. >:-)

Yep, make all the bombs! I love it! I had over 500 bombs of different sorts left over from Origins when I played awakening. they always come in handy, and poisons, oh yea! :)
