The one time I tried a plat pug (lodestar challenge) I ended up clutching the final wave of the match. Wave 3... and then I bled out.

Played my first plat match the other day as well in a PUG with Collectors. Successful extraction too. I'd like to say it was because of my amazing skills but I think it had more to do with getting lucky on teammates. Don't know who those guys were, but they were fairly organized. Wish I could do it more often too, that 150k credits or whatever it was, was nice considering it only took like 25-30 minutes. I'm usually playing silver, which is slow on the money-front.

Plat only really works with tight teams who work closely together (unless you're some kind of ubber god!)
I play from time to time, but I find Gold much more fun, where any kit works fine.
Plat is all about DPS and slogging away. IMHO

I didn't know anything about gold or plat, had hardly any mods or gear yet. Gold was was bad enough. Then came Plat/London/Collectors - it was a horror, still hate that map :-P

I can still remember my first Plat run. Turned on headless-chicken mode halfway into round 2. I had to be carried so badly, poor guys' back are probably still hurting...

I remember my very first platinum match. I was up late downloading the dlc and so was one of my friends. We decided to two man it just to see what it was like, we wiped on wave 4 but it was still fairly entertaining. I was the GI but I forgot what my friend was. I was doing laps on Rio and I was very surprised that we even made it past the first objective wave lol. I believe that you will be successful in your next plat match op. You can do it!

The first time I ever played platinum was for Lodestone. I spent a few days failing platinum PUGS by wave 5, before rounding up a team on BSN. What a difference that made. Four games, four full extractions, operation complete, Hurricane VIII and IX. Of course, we spent the entirety of all four games running circles around Giant's control room. I haven't ever succeeded in a Platinum game since though...

i didnt bother with Platinum until Lodestar, had a great match with Boogieman and Magniflyer mostly carrying me on Giant. Then Megabeast helped me do the other Lodestar ones.
I still dont bother going back to platinum, the only matches ive done since are ones ive been invited to by a friend who needs a meatshield who is a bit more reliable than random pug

It's hard leaping into it at first, it can be really overwhelming...
My first time wasn't too bad, my boyfriend guided me through it... what I mean is I asked him how to play platinum and he said "use the TGI and don't be an idiot and you'll be fine." He was right, we extracted! I haven't played much plat since then, though, because even if I've had a bit of success with it, it's sort of intimidating to me...
