I was wondering if anyone knows of, or could make, a visual FX of a stirge attaching to a creature...trying to write scripts for a stirge and there is nothing I can think of to get the Attach ability correct, but if there was a visual effect of a stirge, I could have it's weapon script-hide it and cause the effect on the target.
Unless there's already a stirge out there, but I have a fealing the Attach isn't going to happen

There is a stirge model but no attach animation in its arsenal I'm afraid.

Yeah, have the model (Pain monster pack) but have no skill at graphic design, hence asking if someone already used that model as the basis of a sef file... or if someone that knows how to could do it...

This mod has creatures as VFX, so it should be possible to make the stirge into a SEF VFX and then attach it to a PC. Maybe check the files in the visual effect editor and see how he did them?

You can add a creature model as a vfx via the standard vfx editor. The creature is either not animated or stuck in one animation however (I forget which). I experimented with it trying to make horse drawn carts for Crimmor, note that there are no horse drawn carts in Crimmor...Tchos wrote...

One animation would be fine; idle at chest level would look like it's suckling...kinda...

Okay, so can't get it on the chest, but was able to have it attach to the back... the attach script needs a bit of work, but I have the sef file, so victory is mine. Tchos, that link helpped a lot... thank you very much. When (1) i get the script working and (2) i figure out how to record the game, i'll post a video of it.
