Ah, I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels that way about the Warden  I never did get the appeal!

And some of us like both EQUALLY.    We like immersing ourselves in our Wardens just as much as our Hawkes.

I loved both my Warden and my Champion.

I did like the fact that Hawke was voiced too.  I know some people felt it ruined the role-playing but I like having a fleshed-out main character.  I think Hawke is easier to reintroduce in new games obviously.  There's just too much variables with the Warden unless Bioware creates a "cannon" Warden.  But that'll just ****** people off.

It's probably best that the Warden remains a mystery, as much as it pains me to say it.  At least Hawke is a lot more defined and less open to interpetation.

I hope Hawke's not dead. Between my Warden dying in DA:O, what happens to Shepard, and the canon versions and fates of Reven and the Exile, it would suck big time if they just killed Hawke off screen, or even during the course of the game. I'm hoping Hawke doesn't make an appearance at all, and I can keep imagining my Hawke's now living a peaceful life with Merrill somewhere.

In my head Shepard survives and settles down with Tali while my Hawke and Merrill live out the rest of their days.  I don't care what Bioware says.  That's my cannon.  Anything less will be an alternate universe or "what if" scenario to me.

Bioware needs to stop trying to remake Shepard. It won't happen. Hawke was extremely frustrating to play as. I'll admit a big part of that was the diaologue wheel.

Also I want no remnants of DA2 in DAI

Pretty much. I can add bad voicover too, especially female. 

It would be hilarious, if we saw dead Hawke. But I don't mind having female Hawke as a LI - she's smoking hot, clueless and easy to manipulate. Excellent girlfriend.

I actually like the idea of having a Dragon Age "Shepard." I don't really like having a new lead character every game as I would much rather see a large, over-lapping arc. But it's a minor complaint. In a perfect world my Warden from DA 1 and my Hawke from DA 2 will join my hero from DA 3 in some grand adventure together. But it's never going to happen.

I can understand not wanting to reuse the Warden, but I think cannon Hawke would make an awesome party member in Inquisition.

Yes, please let Hawke be dead.  Varric and Isabella are really the only good things to come out of DA2 anyway.

I doubt they'd kill Hawke like that, (well they could Twitter kill him, they did it once before) but more than likely we'll have Hawke just go MIA beyond some mention here or there, much as the Warden was.

The bit with Varric was vague enough to grab your attention and make you wonder, not an indicator of Hawke dying/living.

you guys to much belive in what they show us in trailer just look on DA i DA 2 trailers in frist we should fight with darkspawn when we are looking for ashes but instead they are give us mad cultists in second game trailer they show fight with arishok outside and before that he killed 100 guards alone and what we have in game? I even don't mention calling trailer when the warden have fight with over 9000 dawkspawn alone this didn't happen (well unless you're arcane warrior then you can go on deep roads alone). I think that scene with dead body means "war is bad" and everyone suffers.

To be completely frank, I had no real love or attachment to my Hawke character. Not like I did for my Warden commander character. It always annoyed me how they went from the Warden in DAO and then suddenly jumped to this Hawke character and were like "He/she is the most important figure in Ferelden history" and then did a really bad job of making them interesting IMO. Would have preferred it if the Warden commander were focused on more, but whatever.

In short, if Hawke is dead I honestly wouldn't care. If the Warden commander won't be mentioned again, then I look forward to playing as a new protagonist with hopefully as little mention of Hawke as possible.

As long as there is some mentioning of your actions, I'm fine.
