Who else is worried Hawke is dead?

He and Warden are waiting for the right moment to come and save the day.
And, maybe, to kill Anders again, if this whiny bipolar bomber will somehow reappear in DA:I.

I hope Hawke's not dead. Between my Warden dying in DA:O, what happens to Shepard, and the canon versions and fates of Reven and the Exile, it would suck big time if they just killed Hawke off screen, or even during the course of the game. I'm hoping Hawke doesn't make an appearance at all, and I can keep imagining my Hawke's now living a peaceful life with Merrill somewhere.
It's one of the reasons I'm hesitant to pre-order DA:I, like I've done with pretty much all Bioware games in the past.
If they go down that road again and go "Haha, happy endings are SOOO 90's - stomping every character's legacy into the ground is the new cool thing to do, bro!" I'll be done with Bioware's games for good.
Though I'm not entirely sure what happened with Revan and the Exile was Bioware's doing or Obsidian Entertainment's.

But I don't mind having female Hawke as a LI - she's smoking hot, clueless and easy to manipulate. Excellent girlfriend.
He forgot to mention that Bioware LIs just require the PC to have a pulse to romance.
You sure about that? lol

The people that hate Hawke don't kill him but at the same time don't have to put up with him.
The people that like Hawke don't see him but at the same time know he's still alive and will show up later.
I don't see any good reason why Bioware would put him in the game just to die, not everyone hated Hawke so why anger these people to satisfy the other group who want him dead.
If they ever do decide Hawke should die, then it should be done by the player playing as Hawke, not by the Warden, not by the Inquistitor, not by Sandal, not by Flemeth, not by random bandit, only by the player playing as Hawke.

I don't see why Bioware would kill Hawke off or for that matter bother to bring him back. Just keep Hawke out of DA:I. It's a fair compromise

Hawke is Bioware`s character. Not the player`s character.

Strictly speaking, isn't that the case for every player character?
Not really. Since you (usually) get to create your very own unique one. This wasn`t the case with Hawke, where you had almost zero choices in the matter.

Too small of a body to Hawk. Looks like a female though if you watch the HD version. Maybe it is Merrill.
I was thinking it could be her as well. Or maybe Bethany.

Indeed, IMHO Hawke was BW's failed attempt at making a "Shepard" for Dragon Age.

As a fan of both it wouldn't bother me as much as the Hawke scenerio if it was Merrill or Bethany, though it could also say it was just a body with Varric simply being sad at all this crap that's going or Varric being sad his chest hair is covered up, there's no real identity on the body other than it's a small female apparantly.

Hawk for three years, did absolutely nothing for Kirkwall while issues were raised between Mages and Templars. He left the city burn before attempting to extinguish the fire when it was too late. That's unacceptable.

That's what i'm saying. The protagonist of the game can't be a normal person that makes mistakes. The protagonist has to be perfect, a godlike being, like Shepard.

I think it's less about him being a normal guy, and more about him just standing around during some scenes while he had all the time in the world to stop the bad guy from brutally murdering someone right in front of him after delivering one hell of a monologue.
I know it's polite to let the villain monologue and all, but...
That being said, I did enjoy playing Hawke for the most part - some of the idiocies put aside.

In ME1 and ME2, he was pretty much perfect. Just like the usual protagonist from Bioware games.

And, I find this " normal person " idea really stupid to be honest. We are talking about extraordinary events that could change the world. This isn't an ordinary poor guy, with no real intelligence and no real strenght, hardly relevant that will respond to changes and extraordinary events.
I always laugh when some people are saying, " but Hawk was a normal person " as if that was the best idea evar.

I'm actually saying that it isn't a good idea, precisely for what you said. The protagonist is supposed to be someone "special", the only one that can save the world and stuff.

The problem with hawke is that he's not a godlike being like the rest of the Bioware protagonists. He's just a normal person.
Which wouldn't have been so bad if not for the prerelease crap leading many to believe he was a typical sue like most BW protags.
Alas marketing.
