From Ashes, Leviathan & Citadel are all worth it. Omega isn't that great, so I wouldn't worry about it unless you have money to blow. There's people thinking all of it might be on sale in the near-future, on consoles at least (although there's no guarantees the DLC will go on sale soon) so it might be worth holding out for discounts on them.

I'd at least start with From Ashes and Leviathan. Citadel is best playing post game, I think (just because all character elements are taken into account). So you don't have to make a decision to get it just yet. I like Omega, but it doesn't exactly add anything. It's still fun though. And if you don't have the N7 collector's edition, you get the same great assault rifle there.

Depends on what you like.

If you like shooting things then go for Omega.

If you like "puzzles" (using term loosely) go for Leviathan.

If you like the previous MEs and the characters then go for Citadel.

If you want another party member, go for From Ashes.

1. From Ashes 1st and foremost you get a new squadmate and a new weapon and alt. appearances for squadmates all around good dlc
2.Citadel dlc is pure fun and funny as hell and the armax arena is fun
3. Leviathan has a great storyline 2 new weapons and several new weapon mods plus if you play it right there is some LI dialogue
4.Finally Omega well it has some weapons and mods..but thats about it the storyline is very bland

I laugh at the concept of having not purchased all available Mass Effect content, including weapon/appearance packs.

Get on my level, plebs.

Sorry I have been overseas most of the last 5 years and I have had very little time to game even when I was on leave. I have to start somewhere and since I have kids to take care of I should buy the more "relevant" items first. I am happy that you got to enjoy all aspects of the game though.

Very well, do you prefer fun or story coherency?

Citadel is the most fun you'll have for 15 bucks, and Leviathan clears up a few story issues. Omega only if you've got the cash to burn.

I have really enjoyed the story and RPG aspects of the games so far.

Extended Cut is the only "required" one (you can still play the game without it, but you are really going to be putting yourself through some unnecessary pain if you don't get this free DLC)

But, in terms of the paid ones, I'd recommend Leviathan, Citadel, and From Ashes

Omega only if you really like Omega and Aria from ME2, and want some extra gameplay. It is a side mission but doesn't add things that felt missing from ME3 like the other three did.

I don't consider any of the DLC mandatory besides The Extended Cut. The others are just if you want more game to play or to get some of the extra powers/gear from them.

If you want another companion From Ashes works, but only if you get it near the beginning.
If you want a little more story and a light investigative story you might like Leviathan.
If you like combat Omega is for you for it seems less on plot, but more action oriented.
If you want more time with your companions and a cheesy story you would like Omega.

1) People kept telling me how "Leviathan" wasn't worth it (same for "The Arrival" in ME2), but the more I heard about them the more they seemed like the better choices if you wanted a deeper look into the main plot.

2) "From Ashes" was great and you got much more out of it if you played it immediately.

3) I heard "Omega" was high on shooting, but had the most bugs/glitches out of all the DLC.

4) "Citadel" is apparently post-game gushing to the fans so you can worry about this one last.

Also, isn't telling him that you get an extra squadmate in "From Ashes" a spoiler?

For your first playthrough, I'd get From Ashes and Leviathan (and the Extended Cut). Citadel has a lot to offer, but its mood is very different from the main game and will likely seem jarring if experienced as part of your first run. When you've completed the game, you can then decide if you liked it enough to do a 2nd playthrough - this is where I'd advice you to pick up the Citadel DLC :)

Have fun!

It is, but we apparently don't care too much about that around here :P at least it's not a big one.

It can be, but since its in the offical description for the DLC I didn't think it was.

Gotcha. Wasn't 100% sure on that front. Still feel like it's a spoiler, though. Then again I'm someone who believes TV show and movie trailers give away too much. Less is more for me =]
