If you're promoting and happen to have rockets left at wave 11 why wouldn't you nuke.

If you're promoting and playing with a low-lvl kit, you shouldn't have any rockets left on extraction wave. There are quite a few waves where spawn-nuking can noticably reduce the time the match will take. A clean-up missile after the wave 10 objective works wonders too. 

Its impossible to dispute that a good missle use prior to extraction will increase and speed up the chances of success on a match. however pugs are mostly for fun which is why the randomness and not necessarily using your special abilities to the max is sometimes more interesting.

For example. in single player you have medigel. and the saber.
Using both of these will ease up the game.
However its more fun not to use medigel and to use the mattock instead.

if there are two of us then yes we can carry pretty much anyone.  But that is because the two good players are going to use consumables, rockets and gel to make sure the match is successful.

the complaints about PUG matches is when you are not playing with a friend and there does not happen to be another decent player in the lobby.  The PUGs that we complain about do some or all of these things:

(1) will not have consumables applied
(2) will enter the gold match with little or no gels or rockets, but whatever don't use then in the match

It is rarely the case i have seen in pugs though. most people play together and work hard to succeed

  Sounds like this guy has played a few matches with the kind of pugs I was describing.

Yesterday I had to do 2 hacks and a drone escort alone. I failed both hacks (because it's nearly impossible to do it in the time limit when 3 people die on the other side of the map). Made the escort, but it cost me 4 missiles - R2Detour was moving slower than a snail in bullet time across Reactor. 

Prime example of why people hate pugs.

Don't get me wrong, I don't hate ALL of them; I've met some very capable players out there in randomland who could put some BSNers on notice. But 90% of the time it's a piggyback ride, and guess who's the piggy? 

Most frustrating is knowing that I didn't jump ahead in difficulty to earn credits faster when I wasn't ready, yet the player base seems to be okay with having their corpses dragged through games. My avoid list is growing.

Seriously though, they serve as a useful measure for me - I gauge how much (or little, 'struth) my own skill has improved over the last few months by playing them.

If you're not gonna use rockets during the 10 waves then so be it. But whipping out your launcher on wave 11 when enemies spawn infinitely is just a dick move when you refuse to use it on any of the waves before extraction. If you were on my friends list and did it not as a joke then I would immediately unfriend you.

You need to upload it to an image hosting site (like photo bucket or image shack) first and then link from there.

Upload it to a site like imageshack.us or photobucket. Once it's done, it'll give you several bits of code, look for the one that says 'forum code' or 'BBcode'. Then copypasta and you're done.

I play pugs almost exclusively. The op is correct, if you have at least two decent players you will have success, one is alot more touchy.

One simply has to be a bit selective on the lobbies. The biggest beef I have is entering a pug and having the people that need consumables the most to help them not equip anything.
